  8. Tip 1 – Build your Change Management muscle • What are your strengths? • What are your gaps? • Do you have the skills and tools you need? • Stay connected - How have you taped into networks and coaching? Learn from people around you • Stay fresh - tap into webinars, Community of Practice and Professional bodies 12
  9. Tip 2: Be clear on the Value of Change Management • Form your own view • Be ready to answer the question with what we help deliver, not what we do • Know how it applies to your current organisation, current initiative, current Sponsor 13
  10. Tip 3: Work from Solid Foundations • Be clear on the expectations of your role • Apply core tools and approach, every time and talk about how they help, not the tools themselves • Flexible approach • Leverage the skills you have already developed, perhaps from other disciplines 14
  11. Tip 4: Use your Gut and Back It Up • Pick up on the underlying issues or themes • Go get the data that either clarifies the issue or dispels it – hard and soft data • Good coaching and network helps here, too 15
  12. Tip 5: Do the work • Practice • Go over old or existing projects and apply your approach and tools • ‘Look Back and Learn’ can be very valuable • Bring those learnings to your current project and share them 16
