I was 8-years-old when my eldest sister gave me a scented diary as a Christmas present. Aside
from the fact that it was my sister’s gift, I loved the diary a lot because of its very feminine and
colorful design. I loved it so much that I began to write down on it every bit of experience I had in a
day. It might sound trivial, but that was how I developed my fondness for writing.
I wrote and wrote every single day from then on. From simple stories about my classmate’s new
crush to my humble sentiments about how education can help improve lives, my writing skill
improved as years went by.
This love for writing has helped me a lot as I entered high school. My teachers noticed my
potential through the essays and reports I submitted. My writing skill has dramatically improved
