Conclusions
Cover Crops promoted an average reduction of the
OC losses of 76.4%. Owing to a diminution of the
runoff and erosion of 36.4% and 85.6% respectively.
Owing to an increasing of the average soil cover of
65.7% for CC, respect 22.4% of Tillage.
Furthermore, the OC output in the CC was not so
influenced by the characteristics of the rainfall events,
versus the Conventional Tillage that was highly
influenced.

  • 19. Conclusions Cover Crops promoted an average reduction of the OC losses of 76.4%. Owing to a diminution of the runoff and erosion of 36.4% and 85.6% respectively. Owing to an increasing of the average soil cover of 65.7% for CC, respect 22.4% of Tillage. Furthermore, the OC output in the CC was not so influenced by the characteristics of the rainfall events, versus the Conventional Tillage that was highly influenced.

  1. Well this is a climatic change change project but CA appear in the world and specially in Spain due to the huge erosion problemms. As you can see in Europe ……………. This problem is higher in woody crops due to the ground is less covered. althoug is also high in herbaceous crops because of the big and long slopes.
  2. With the CA the problems of erosion disappear and we gets a lot extra environmental benefits. as the reduccion of CO2 emission. more water and biodiversity in the soil etc. These technichs appeared in Spain in the 70-80s of the last century but they haven.t got a big adoption by the farmer due to specially a necesary change in the way of practice the agriculture
