Refratechnik Steel provides prod-
ucts for casted, gunned, rammed,
and shotcreted linings – with and
without cement – for backfilling
and for wear linings.
For example, in terms of timesav-
ing, Refratechnik's Jetcast lining
technique for the stack walls rep-
resents an important alternative
to conventional refractory linings.
Moreover, the physical properties
of low-cement jetcasting mate-
rials are very similar to those of
low-cement castables, and there-
fore guarantee highest refractory
quality.
In combination with effective
equipment and experienced instal-
lation teams, the high standard of
Refratechnik linings meets all the
demand of modern blast furnace
operations. Refratechnik offers the
hydraulically bonded low-cement
version as well as the cement-free
nanobond alternative. Jetcasting
ensures fast lining operations
with minimum loss of material.
Our experience has shown that
rebound losses with a gunning
robot are less than 2%, and even
less than 1% with manual lining.
Modern jetcasting products
feature very low porosities, and
therefore high resistance against
mechanical and chemical attack.
Hereby, the costs are absolutely
comparable with those of conven-
tional methods.
