AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR A
SCHOLARSHIP FUND FOR QUALIFIED
STUDENTS OF THE PROVINCE, AMENDING
CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF SP ORDINANCE NO.
18, SERIES OF 1992 ENTITLED “AN ORDINANCE
ESTABLISHING A SCHOLARSHIP FUND FOR THE
POOR BUT DESERVING STUDENTS
OF AGUSAN DEL SUR”.
ORDINANCE NO. 03, Series of 1999
(Authored by HON. ADOLPH EDWARD G. PLAZA, HON. SANTIAGO B. CANE, JR., HON. VIRGILIO L. ZOILO)
Scholarship Incentives:
1. Free entrance and tuition fee
2. Miscellaneous fee of not less than One
Thousand Pesos
3. Uniform allowance of not more than One
thousand pesos
4. Monthly allowance of Two Thousand Pesos
1. Shall not have failed or dropped in any subject in a
semester or school year for the entire curriculum, provided,
however, that any dropping of subject may for compelling
reason be considered by the PSSC as covered by a duly
approved permission for leave application.
2. Shall be able to maintain a General Average of at least
85%, and 83% for grantees who are full-bloodied natives
and/or indigenous or people belonging to the cultural
minority, for the entire duration of the course.
3. Shall conduct himself/herself in an exemplary manner and
not get involved in any criminal or morally degrading
activity.
Maintenance of scholarship standard
School to enroll in and courses to take
• Academic and special grantees in the college
level may choose any four-year course of
his/her liking at any recognized Public school
located within the province.
Summer Classes
• Subject to the concurrence of the
Sangguniang Panlalawigan and approval
of the Provincial Governor, the PSSC
may recommend for enrollment of the
grantees for summer classes. Summer
enrollees shall continue to receive all the
incentives, except for the uniform
allowance.

SCHOLARSHIP FOR THE POOR INDIGENOUS
PEOPLE OF AGUSAN DEL SUR.
SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS:
1.Free tuition, matriculation and other school fees
2.Free board and lodging
3.Uniform allowance of One thousand pesos per
semester
4.Book allowance of One thousand per semester
5.Cash allowance of One Thousand Pesos per month
ORDINANCE NO. 18, Series of 2003

Section 5. CUT OFF OF SCHOLARSHIP. Violation on any of the
conditions prescribed in the preceding section shall mean automatic
forfeiture of the scholarship privileges granted under this ordinance.
Schools to enroll in
• All grantees under this Ordinance shall enroll in
a state college or university located within the
province of Agusan del Sur.
MEDICINE PROPER
Medicine Proper
ORDINANCE NO. 04, Series of 2006

AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A
SCHOLARSHIP FOR MEDICINE PROPER
FOR QUALIFIED AND DESERVING
RESIDENTS OF AGUSAN DEL SUR
Scholarship Coverage
• Entrance Fee
• Miscellaneous Fee
• Php 20,000.00 tuition fee
• Php 3,500.00 monthly cash allowance
• Php 12,000.00 book allowance per semester
• Php 10,000.00 board review and board
examination assistance, which could be
availed of only once.
Disqualifications
• When convicted by a court of law for infraction
of any law in the Philippines or abroad
• Flunking in any of the subjects enrolled for the
semester
• Incomplete grade in any subject five months
after closure of the semester when the subject
was taken
• Dropping of any subject
• Failure to submit final grades in all subjects
thirty days after the last date of final
examinations.
Leave of Absence
• Any grantee who, under unavoidable
circumstance or for justifiable cause, cannot
enroll in a given semester, shall file a written
leave of absence with the Scholarship
Screening Committee. Failure to get an
approved Leave of Absence (LOA) shall
automatically delist the grantee from the roster
of scholars.
Memorandum of Undertaking
• Provincial government’s responsibility towards the grantee in
pursuance to the provisions of this Ordinance;
• For the grantee to refund the entire amount incurred by the
provincial government in case the former fails to finish the
course for unjustifiable reason or reasons, or when the
grantee shifts to another course;
• For the grantees to render on the job training/internship at
the D.O. Plaza Memorial Hospital;
• For the grantee to work for the province for at least 8
years after graduation/passing the board examinations. The
provincial government, however, reserves the option to hire
or not to hire subject grantee. At the latter option, the 8-year
mandatory service in the province is deemed waived and the
grantee is free to work anywhere.

equivalent if studying abroad per grantee
• Thesis/dissertation writing related expenses
• Php 1,200.00 book allowance per semester
Disqualifications

abroad
• Flunking in any of the subjects enrolled
for the semester
• Incomplete grade in any subject five
months after closure of the semester
when the subject was taken

• Miscellaneous Fess Php 500.00
• Tuition Fees Php 12,000.00
• Monthly Cash Allowance Php 1,000.00
• Book Allowance Php 1,000.00
• Uniform Allowance Php 1,000.00
Courses to take up
• Successful applicants shall take up any two
(2) year vocational courses of four (4) year
baccalaureate computer-related courses
being offered in any school/colleges located
within the province of Agusan del Sur
Disqualifications
• When convicted by a court of law for infraction of any
law in the Philippines or abroad;
• Flunking in any of the subjects enrolled for the
semester;
• Incomplete grade in any subject five months after
closure of the semester when the subject was taken;
• Dropping of any subject;
• Failure to submit final grades in all subjects thirty days
after the last date of final examinations;
• Any grantee that is below the regular number of
subject or unit prescribed by the school.

  • 5. Scholarship Incentives: 1. Free entrance and tuition fee 2. Miscellaneous fee of not less than One Thousand Pesos 3. Uniform allowance of not more than One thousand pesos 4. Monthly allowance of Two Thousand Pesos
  • 6. 1. Shall not have failed or dropped in any subject in a semester or school year for the entire curriculum, provided, however, that any dropping of subject may for compelling reason be considered by the PSSC as covered by a duly approved permission for leave application. 2. Shall be able to maintain a General Average of at least 85%, and 83% for grantees who are full-bloodied natives and/or indigenous or people belonging to the cultural minority, for the entire duration of the course. 3. Shall conduct himself/herself in an exemplary manner and not get involved in any criminal or morally degrading activity. Maintenance of scholarship standard
  • 7. School to enroll in and courses to take • Academic and special grantees in the college level may choose any four-year course of his/her liking at any recognized Public school located within the province.
  • 8. Summer Classes • Subject to the concurrence of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan and approval of the Provincial Governor, the PSSC may recommend for enrollment of the grantees for summer classes. Summer enrollees shall continue to receive all the incentives, except for the uniform allowance.

  • 12. Section 5. CUT OFF OF SCHOLARSHIP. Violation on any of the conditions prescribed in the preceding section shall mean automatic forfeiture of the scholarship privileges granted under this ordinance.
  • 13. Schools to enroll in • All grantees under this Ordinance shall enroll in a state college or university located within the province of Agusan del Sur.

  • 16. Scholarship Coverage • Entrance Fee • Miscellaneous Fee • Php 20,000.00 tuition fee • Php 3,500.00 monthly cash allowance • Php 12,000.00 book allowance per semester • Php 10,000.00 board review and board examination assistance, which could be availed of only once.
  • 17. Disqualifications • When convicted by a court of law for infraction of any law in the Philippines or abroad • Flunking in any of the subjects enrolled for the semester • Incomplete grade in any subject five months after closure of the semester when the subject was taken • Dropping of any subject • Failure to submit final grades in all subjects thirty days after the last date of final examinations.
  • 18. Leave of Absence • Any grantee who, under unavoidable circumstance or for justifiable cause, cannot enroll in a given semester, shall file a written leave of absence with the Scholarship Screening Committee. Failure to get an approved Leave of Absence (LOA) shall automatically delist the grantee from the roster of scholars.
  • 19. Memorandum of Undertaking • Provincial government’s responsibility towards the grantee in pursuance to the provisions of this Ordinance; • For the grantee to refund the entire amount incurred by the provincial government in case the former fails to finish the course for unjustifiable reason or reasons, or when the grantee shifts to another course; • For the grantees to render on the job training/internship at the D.O. Plaza Memorial Hospital; • For the grantee to work for the province for at least 8 years after graduation/passing the board examinations. The provincial government, however, reserves the option to hire or not to hire subject grantee. At the latter option, the 8-year mandatory service in the province is deemed waived and the grantee is free to work anywhere.

  • 28. Courses to take up • Successful applicants shall take up any two (2) year vocational courses of four (4) year baccalaureate computer-related courses being offered in any school/colleges located within the province of Agusan del Sur
  • 29. Disqualifications • When convicted by a court of law for infraction of any law in the Philippines or abroad; • Flunking in any of the subjects enrolled for the semester; • Incomplete grade in any subject five months after closure of the semester when the subject was taken; • Dropping of any subject; • Failure to submit final grades in all subjects thirty days after the last date of final examinations; • Any grantee that is below the regular number of subject or unit prescribed by the school.
