insecticide product GOLD 20 SC from CB Andrew Asia Inc. Said product contains clothianidin at 200 g/L.

Based on the observations taken by our Integrated Pest Management Coordinator Mr. Ronald D. Pacol
and High Value Crops Development Coordinator Ms. Maylin B. Delos Santos , who visited and observed
the efficacy of this product that was used by these mango contractors, it effectively controlled the
problematic Cecid fly that causes kurikong in mango fruits. Sprayed fruits with GOLD 20 SC at harvest are
clean and free from physical damage by the Cecid fly.
As for any residue of GOLD 20 SC in the harvested fruits, I suggest a thorough study analysis be made. But
based on the observations made by Mr. Ronald D. Pacol and Ms. Maylin B. Delos Santos, the product
GOLD 20 SC is very effective in reducing incidences of kurikong caused by the Cecid fly in mango.
I therefore recommend to use GOLD 20 SC insecticide to suppress mango Cecid fly infestation.
