8. Festival of Lights
For 9 years, Rotary has lit up downtown Mississauga during the
holidays
Companies sponsor a tree and Rotary lights it up and hangs a
plaque for approx. 8 weeks
There are 13 indoor trees and a handful of outdoor trees to be
placed around the Living Arts Centre
They have raised up to $10,000 for their club!
9. Festival of Lights - Timeline
Sponsorship: get corporate sponsors, many that
will come on again from previous years
Set up: light all the trees in late November – need
a team of 20-30
Reception: for the sponsors around the holidays in
December
Take down: in mid-January
