Goals of Twinning What is a Twinning?
In practice Establishing a Relationship
1.To further international understanding and foster goodwill
2. To emphasis the international aspect of Rotaract service and friendship
3. To establish a long-term relationship with another club that will lead to ongoing and effective projects
Twinning is when more than two clubs from two different countries have agreed to partner with each other for
a service project, cultural or friendship exchange.
Careful planning and clear communication is important to establish a strong friendship
Each club and member should clearly understand their roles and responsibilities in the partnership
To formalize the twinning, clubs sign a twinning agreement

Success stories
RAC Izmir (Turkey) & RAC Monfalcone Grado (Italy)
This project consisted in sharing a “Cultural Box” containing
typical products of each region, with the intent to get to know
each others’ cultures and traditions
The clubs both organized visits-tour to important realities of its
territory, which were recorded and shared via live stream with the
other club
The United School Project - The project’s aim to help two schools,
one Italian and one Turkish, through the purchase and donation
of materials targeted for the conduct of educational activities.

Success stories
RAC Manchester International (UK) & RAC Varna-
Euxinograd (Bulgaria)
Books beyond borders - The goal of this project was to promote
reading and to encourage people to get educated. English is the
mostly taught foreign language in Bulgaria, since primary school
to university. However, there aren’t many language books
available. For this reason our clubs decided to initiate a project of
collecting books in the UK to send to Bulgaria.
Acts of kindness - The goal of this project was to show that if we
all make small acts of kindness the world is going to be a better
place because our combined efforts are going to move
mountains. Each club to come up with a few acts of kindness and
made a video showing how these actions were delivered
