Filtersheets

  1. 1. FILTER SHEETS Sparkler Filters International offers a range of Filter sheets. The Filter sheets are made of chemically pure polyethylene fibres, cellulose and filter aids like perlite. Filter sheets combine a depth and surface filtration characteristic. Because of the difference in potential, defined as the “Zeta potential” there is an extra filtration effect. Electrostatic forces ensure that charged particles are captured in the filter media. Filter sheets are available in micron ratings from 50 µm down to 0.15 µm. They are in accordance with rules of the European Community about materials in contact with food and registered by the FDA. The Filter sheets are available in squares and circles with different dimensions, SHEETS 0 RANGE SA 010 SA 020 SA 030 SA 050 SA 070 Sheets with a very low or zero content of polyethylene which result in a high filtration performance. Very adequate for coarse filtration of very turbid liquids and for the filtration of high viscosity liquids such as syrups and gelatines, etc. SA 290 SA 390 SA 590 Sheets with a very high performance. Often used to retain filter aids and activated carbon. Also used in clarification processes in the chemical, food and cosmetic industries. SA 790 SA 890 Sheets for fine or final clarification of liquids and preparation for sterile filtration. Filtration of wines, beers, dry liquors, bottled water, distilled alcoholic drinks, vinegar, pharmaceutical and cosmetic products, perfumes, etc. U.K.Office: Palmcroy House 387,London Road, Croydon Surrey, CRO 3PB. 2. 2. SA 950 SA 990 SA 997 Sheets for sterilising filtration. Final filtration before bottling or when there is an interest in marginally lowering the colmatation index and reducing the content of micro-organism. Bottling of wine, mineral water, liquids with risk of fermentation or microbial alterations, pharmaceutical products, drips, vaccines, injectable solutions. Because of the high content of polyethylene, this range cannot be sterilised over 1.1 Kgs steam (120ºC) conditions for more than 30 minutes. SHEETS 5 RANGE SA 005 SA 035 Filtration of liquids that hold a lot of materials in suspension, molasses liquids with sediments, etc. SA 395 SA 595 Filtration of syrups, liquid glucose, fruit juices, gelatine, sweet and dry liquors with precipitated colloidal material, etc. SA 795 SA 895 Glazing of fruit juices, preserved fruit, syrups; filtrations of colognes and special perfumes SA 955 SA 995 Sterilising sheets, used in the bottling of juices and syrups. Sterile filtration in the chemical industry, especially where steam is used as a sterilising agent Quality Weight Thickness Micron rating Ret. Micrb.
