1. A2 Flyers – Writing a story
 Brainstorm useful vocabulary related to the below images (e.g. food, planet, etc.).
 Divide your students into three groups: A, B and C. Assign pictures 1, 2 and 3 to each of
the groups and have students create a dialogue for their image. Then, put dialogues 1, 2
and 3 together to read the whole story.
 You can also use the below visuals to create various dialogues, then put your students into
groups of three and have them act out what they had written.
2. All levels – ask your students to write a story about the below pictures. Remind them to include all
images in their story!

Have your students look at the picture and write YES or NO. There is one example.
1. The girl with the black hair is reading. NO (she is writing).

4. The boy is playing the saxophone.
5. There is a red bag on the floor.
6. The table is green.
7. A girl is dancing.

5. A2 Movers Speaking and/ or Writing
Ask your students to look at the image below. In pairs, have them:
 Create questions about the visual, e.g. What colour is the car?
 Write down short sentences about what they can see, e.g. there is a black and white dog,
there are two clouds
Ask them to answer the following questions about the image:
 What is the girl in the yellow t-shirt doing?
 Where is the boy on the yellow bike going?
 What is in the red car?
 What is the brown dog thinking?
 What is the black and white dog doing?
 Are the children happy? Why?

This is an activity that can be done either in groups, or individually. Have your students look at
the images and write a story, linking the photos together (in whatever order they like!). Tell them
that they can include dialogues if they want.

7. Music-inspired story-telling – ALL levels
Have your students listen to a piece of instrumental music of your own choice. Ask them to
answer the following questions while listening:
1. Who are the characters and where are they?
2. What is happening to them?
3. Is it something happy / sad / exciting / scary / thrilling?
4. What could they be talking about?
5. What is going to happen next?
6. Finally: what title would you give to each piece?
