One of the biggest barriers to delegation is the
perception that you do not have enough time
to either adequately explain the task or teach
your team member the skills necessary for a
delegated task. Even though it may take you
less time to complete that task now, where
does that put you the next time the task
must be completed? This feeling is paradoxical,
because one of the main benefits of delegation
is saving time.Some leaders feel that if they do
not complete the task, they will not get credit.
You must learn to share credit with others.
Remember, the better your team looks,
the better you look.Some leaders think
that they are the only person who can
complete the job successfully. Accept the
fact that your teammates are highly capable!

what official functions they play in the organization, if there is no
proper delegation the leader will finally suffer.The leader should always
focus on his core strength and ensure that the other tasks are properly
delegated and get it done.

because we are good at them, or because other people value them,
may not be the things that make us happy. True fulfillment comes
from building our plans based on our core strengths, the ones we
most enjoy using.

WHY SHOULD YOU DELEGATE?
If you feels that you are the one on whom your entire team depends then its
time to re-think on your involvement .If you work on your own, there's only
a limited amount that you can do, however hard you work. You can only work
so many hours in a day. There are only so many tasks you can complete in
these hours. There are only so many people you can help by doing these tasks.
And, because the number of people you can help is limited, your success is limited.
On the positive side, however, you're being given a tremendous opportunity if you
can find a way around this limitation. If you can realize this opportunity, you can
be genuinely successful!One of the most common ways of overcoming this
limitation is to learn how to delegate your work to other people. If you do this
well, you can quickly build a strong and successful team of people, well able to
meet the demands that others place. This is why delegation is such an important
skill, and is one that you absolutely have to learn!
WHEN TO DELEGATE:
Ask yourself a series of questions, such as:
▪ Is there someone who can handle the role?
▪ Is this role demand a recurring type of job?
▪ Is there adequate time for proper hand over of the role?

Don’t tell people how to do things,
tell them what to do and let them surprise you with their results.
Surround yourself with the best people you can find,
delegate authority, and don’t interfere as long as the policy you’ve decided upon is being carried out.

Identifying potential leaders from within the team is the key to effective
delegation.Leaders are change agents who play a transformational role in an
organization’s efforts to overcome market challenges. If your team faces
a leadership vacuum at any given point in time, then it will be unable to achieve
its growth targets.To demonstrate your team’s commitment toward innovation
and high-quality products and services, you need leaders who have the authority and
credibility needed to push the workforce to meet this goal.

You need to find leaders from inside your team because they are well
versed with the processes, systems, organization structure, and work culture
already in place.They are also aware of the team’s strengths–and, more
importantly, weaknesses. This allows them to take better and more informed
growth-oriented decisions.

The tasks and authority can be effectively delegated if the organization/team is run under
an effective process oriented fashion.A process driven organization has certain obvious
advantages over a people driven organization. Many old fashioned leaders still prefer
to be people driven for the fear of losing control over their organization. However a large
majority still aims as process oriented as the ultimate way to create an organization. Many
have tried and failed because they have not truly understood what the concept means

A Process Driven Organization achieves its business objectives by
managing activities in a procedural way. The processes within the
organization allow to focus on teams’ efforts so that they deliver on
