9. PREPARATION TIPS
PHYSICS
PRACTICING THE NUMERICAL QUESTIONS AND REVISING THE CONCEPTS IS THE
KEY TO SCORE IN PHYSICS.
PHYSICS HAS SEVERAL QUESTIONS BASED ON THEOREM AND DIRECT FORMULAS
WHICH CAN BE MEMORIZED BY REVISING THOROUGHLY.
YOU MUST GET A GRIP ON THE FUNDAMENTAL CONCEPTS OF THE SUBJECT.
10. – Uses of spherical mirror.
– Dispersion of White light
– Atmospheric refraction
– Scattering of Light
– Factors on which the resistance of a conductor
depends.
– Heating effect of electric current and its applications
in daily life.
– Magnetic field lines and its properties
– Electric Motor
– Electromagnetic induction
IMPORTANT TOPICS
CONCEPTUAL QUESTIONS
11. • On OHM’s Law
• Concept of potential and work done
• Combination of resistance
• Interrelation between P, V, I and R.
• Mirror formula and magnification.
• Lens formula, Magnification and Power of a
lens.
NUMERICAL TOPICS
12. • Laws of refraction of Light – Statement only
• OHM’s Law – statement, relation, V-I graph
and circuit diagram.
• Right – Hand Thumb Rule – Statement only
• Fleming’s Left-Hand Rule – Only statement
• Fleming’s Right-Hand Rule – Only statement

13. PREPARATION TIPS
BIOLOGY
• Biology section contains 28 marks. In this part two
units are there, one is world of living and another one
is natural resources.
• Unit 1 - World of living has 3 chapters (life processes,
reproduction and heredity). Evolution and control and
coordination is not included that time .
• Unit 2- Natural resources - Our environment: Eco-
system, Environmental problems, Ozone depletion,
waste production and their solutions. Biodegradable
and non-biodegradable substances.
14. IMPORTANT TOPICS
• In biology part diagrams are very important. From life
processes students should focus and do practice for
labelling the parts of heart, kidney, respiration.
• Name of enzymes and functions are important.
• From chapter reproduction flower section is important
and also human reproductive parts.
• Crosses are important from heredity.
• If students read the chapters of NCERT and solve the
related questions then it will be more helpful. Read
simple sentences and clear the concepts first. Don’t be
panic read chapters thoroughly.
15. • Students should revise from their notes that
they have created during preparation.
• Students must not touch any new topic
before the exam day.
• Be relaxed and cool.
• Take proper sleep at night before the exam
day.
• Students should make sure that they have not
skipped any important topic from the syllabus
GENERAL TIPS TO BE FOLLOWED
BEFORE THE EXAM DAY
16. • Keep an eye on the time and try to finish all
the entire paper in the allocated time
duration.
• Draw the diagram wherever required to
explain the answer.
• Do not get stuck to a particular question.
Students must move on if they could not able
to find the answer to a particular question.
