4. Just one
third of earth’s surface
is land the rest is
covered by water. The
land is divided in to the
seven vast land masses:
North America, South
America, Europe, Asia,
Africa, Australia,
Antarctica.

5. North America is
the third largest continent.
Two countries Canada and
the USA take up three
quarters of the continent,
which also contains Mexico,
Seven central American
countries and the Caribbean
islands. –

6. South America is
the fourth largest
continent. It contains
the world’s longest
mountain range
biggest rain forest
driest desert and
highest waterfall.

7. Unlike many of
the other continents
Europe is not a separate
landmass. It is joined to
Asia. Europe’s eastern
boundary is formed by
the oral mountains and
the caspain sea Russia
falls into both Europe
and Asia.

8. Asia is the
biggest continent,
covering about a
third of earth’s
land area. It has
the biggest
population and it
contains the
world’s biggest
country, highest
mountains and
largest lake.

9. Africa is
often called the “birth
place of human kind”.
That’s because human
beings originated from
Africa several Million
years ago, Although
humans as we would
recognize them only
emerged about
200,0000 years ago.
Today
about in 8 of the
world’s population live
in Africa.

known as Australasia
includes the countries
of Australasia. New
Zealand and Papua
New Guinea Australia
is so big that it is a
continent in its own
right to the east lie
thousand of tiny
pacific islands, known
as Oceania.

is known as polar
region. Antarctica is
covered by 90% of
the world’s ice to an
