1. Aurat March
The Aurat AzadiMarch,'Women's Emancipation March')was started in 2018 in Pakistan by
members of Women Democratic Front (soicialist-feminist organization),other organizations like
Women's Action Forum(Women's rights organization),EliminationofViolence against Women and
Girls alliance, YoungTeachers Association,Home-Based Women Workers Union,Awami Workers
Party,Awami Jamhoori Partyalso joined the march on International Women's Day(March 8, 2018)
in Islamabad.Aurat Azadi March and Aurat March are organized bydifferent groupsofwomen
since 2018. Aurat Azadi March is organized bygroup of socialist feminists whereas Aurat March is
organized bygroup ofliberal feminists.Aurat March was also started the same year by the group
of individualwomen known as "Hum Aurtein"collectivein Karachi and Lahore.

2. Objectives:
• The march calls for greater accountabilityfor
violenceagainst women and supports women
who experience violence and harassment at the
hands of security forces, in public spaces, at
home, and in the workplace.
• A right of marriage with consent, right of proper
education,right of choosing a life partner,
right for equal career opportunities,equal
salary, elimination of dowry system, standing
against rape, sexual harassment, any type of
assault, mental health awareness and many
more.
3. Recent
years
In the recent years we have seen that instead
of demanding the fundamental rights, women
have been going in a complete different
direction. Here are some examples of how the
tables have turned and how the actual ideology
of these feminist cults have been exposed.

6. • The irony is that we don’t see any off those
posters resembling the actual agenda of
feminism. There are some slogans that
actually represent the fundamental demands
of feminism but those are very less.
• Most of the times we are bombarded with
these slogans that are vulgar and are based
on sexism. Raising voice against sexist
culture is fine but making it all about
feminism and concealing the factual
demands is unjust.
7. What
should be
done?
• There should be demands that actually
represent the justified role of women in
Islam. For that, women should be educated
in the light of Quran and sunnah. Women
should be told that how they should respond
when they are in such a situation where they
get doubts regarding their role in their own
religion.
