2. ABSTRACT:
Recently, many online shopping websites were introduced.
The main aim of these pages is to provide the chance for the
clients to buy whatever products they want without having to
go to the shop itself. One of the most popular online
companies is Amazon that was launched nearly 22 years ago.
Despite the fact that it was not the only company of its kind,
it became very successful. So what are the reasons? And
how did the company started?
3. INTRODUCTION:
Amazon is a Fortune 500 e-commerce
company based in Seattle, Washington. It
was founded in 1994 and launched a year
later by Jeff Bezos. The company started as
a bookstore, but that did not last for long as
they began to sell other products such as:
VHS tapes, video games, DVDs and other
varied items (Schneider, 2016).

4. Amazon provides a huge
access to all types of
products for the costumer.
That is to say, it includes
different means of items. For
instance, beauty, health,
music, books, clothing,
shoes, jewelleries and many
others.
Such company requires a
great number of employees
to run it. The chart shown
below illustrates the sharp
increase in the number of
staff throughout a period of
time from 2011 to 2015.

5. TIMELINE OF THE
COMPANY
1995-2000:
During these five years it expanded from selling books to CDs, DVDs, toys
and electronics. In 2000, the company established a new logo with an arrow
runnung from the letter A to Z, representing that the company is able
provide everything.
2000-2006:
In this phase Amazon introduced a web service. After that, it expanded to
sell jewellery and shoes for the fist time. A remarkable step is that it also
start selling and delivring fresh food.
2007-2012:
During this period, Amazon launched e-book reader, games and studios to
create original TV content.
2013-2015:
At this stage, the company unveiled drone delivery planes for the first time
and they were named: “ Prime Air”

throughout a period of time from August 2016 to February 2017. The one
on the left, displays how satisfied are the customers and their overall
rating out of 10. Whereas, the other chart gives the buyers likelhood to
use amazon again. Overall, the company got positive ratings and reviews
from its cleints.
