Important?
• Makes the data easy to understand for business professionals not
familiar with the data
• Allows for data to be aligned correctly so that data not needed is
excluded

4. Speed of Data
• Data needs to be there when it is needed and no earlier or no later
• A company can gain business insight with effective construction of
their network

5. Understanding the data
• The business must understand the data before it can be visualized
• Context is the most important piece of understanding data

6. Data Quality
• Data must be quality to give the business the knowledge they need
• After data is put into context the analysis must decide if the data is
useful or needs to be scrubbed

• This isn’t plotting points on a graph because you would not be able
to read it
• Go with a high level view
• Bin the data if need be

• With vast amounts of data the outliers will be just as numerous
• Pull outliers out and display them seperately
• Don’t forget them but they are needed in visualization
