1. With this research it shows
that a quit smoking campaign
will be mediocre as I have
learned that not many people
my age smoke. It also shows
that the alcohol intake of ages
16-20 is mostly yes yet I did
not as what age they started
nor if the do it with adult
supervision or without.
This results are not valuable as I did not have an
option for no fast food or takeaway which means the
result would not show exact results. It also shows that
the majority of the people my age do not consider
their lifestyle healthy, this may mean that I should
focus my project on healthy eating.
With only 29.4% of people my age
going to the gym I may also need to
base my advert on the gym as it is
detrimental to health either mental
or physical.
2. I HAVE DECIDED TO PERUSE FITNESS AS
MY PITCH ADVERT AS I HAVE A PERSONAL
PASSION IN THIS FIELD AND IT HAS
LARGELY EFFECTED MY LIFE AS A WHOLE
INCLUDING MY MENTAL HEALTH. THIS
PITCH WILL RESULT IN ME TRYING TO
MAKE AN ADVERT TO PITCH MY IDEA
ABOUT YOUNG PEOPLE GOING TO THE
GYM AS AT A YOUNG AGE THE BEST
RESULTS WILL BE ACHIEVED. IT WILL
ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO DEVELOP
HEALTH HABITS THAT CAN LAST A LIFE
TIME, THEREFORE IMPROVING THEIR
HEALTH IN THE FUTURE. IT ALSO MEANS
THAT I WILL BE GIVING PEOPLE MORE
INSIGHT ON WHAT TO DO AND HOW TO
DO IT
3. Social media is also a massive contributor to
mental health illness. This needs to change
drastically as it is means that people rely on
the false people on the internet who fake
their appearance for likes and recognition.
The way that people think of the way they
look is largely different to the actual
appearance. This is known as body
dysmorphia and is a horrible way to value
oneself.
The latest apps that have caused such issues
are usually based around Instagram as this is
the platform that uses the most “fake editing”
that will make the newer generations envy
this unrealistic beauty standard.
4. The NHS founded 5th of July 1948 which may have
been due to the mass destruction of the tragic WW2
which ended in 1945. In order to deal with the numbers
of injured soldiers coming back from the war needed to
be dealt with in some way.
The NHS’s goal is to provide free healthcare to the
whole of the UK with a holistic approach that aims to
meet the medical needs of UK for both mental and
physical health. This is a good cause as it means that
the people less likely to cost the NHS as much money
as before as it means that the people will already be
healthy. However this could be a bad thing as it means
that the NHS may lose a lot of money from taxes as the
UK will be at a state where they no longer require.
The budget of the NHS started out at about £437
million and has skyrocketed to £133 billion by the
year of 2021/2022. In the NHS they have the most
workers with over £1.7 million in employment making
it the 5th biggest healthcare business in the world. It
was Aneurin Bevan, the Minister of Health in the UK
from 1945 to 1951, who started the NHS in 1948. He
believed that a civilized society should be able to
provide medical care for all of its citizens for free so
that anyone in need of medical care, no matter what
they earn, can have access to it. In 2012, during the
opening ceremony of the Summer Olympic Games in
London, a homage to the NHS, directed by Danny
Boyle (Trainspotting) unfolded. The letters ‘NHS’ were
lit up in the stadium, too, for viewers around the
world to appreciate.
