Tiredness
Mood swings; crying or showing anger
Complaints about illness
constantly like a headache
Increased smoking and drinking
Absence – short and frequent
Reduced performance
Indecisiveness
Irritability
Deteriorating relationships with
you/peers/teams and individuals
Changes in a person’s mood or behaviour

1. Try to have a positive attitude
2. Don’t try to control events that you can’t control
3. Try to take an assertive approach rather than an aggressive one
4. Do not accept or set yourself unrealistic goals and deadlines.
5. Allow at least half an hour for each meal.
6. Try to use relaxation techniques
7. Make sure you take regular exercise
8. Try to eat a healthy balanced diet
9. Try to manage your time
10.Have some quality ‘me’ time.
11. Make time for hobbies
12. Rest and sleep
13. Don’t rely on alcohol to relax you
14. Use social support from people who are close
15. Seek help if you need to from your GP

Do not accept or set yourself unrealistic goals and deadlines. 5. Allow at least half an hour for each meal. 6. Try to use relaxation techniques 7. Make sure you take regular exercise 8. Try to eat a healthy balanced diet 9. Try to manage your time 10.Have some quality ‘me’ time. 11. Make time for hobbies 12. Rest and sleep 13. Don’t rely on alcohol to relax you 14. Use social support from people who are close 15. Seek help if you need to from your GP What can you do?
