Mukidoma School is located in Tanzania near the city of Arusha and Mount Kilimanjaro. It is a boarding school where students come from all over Tanzania. Like George Abbot School, Mukidoma has a caring community and encourages students to take responsibility through extracurricular activities. It teaches subjects like English, Kiswahili, math, science, and history to both primary and senior students. The headteacher of Mukidoma often visits George Abbot School in the UK, and staff from both schools have visited each other to strengthen their connection.

3. TANZANIA Mukidoma School is near a big city called ARUSHA. The school is at Usa River and it is a rural area about twenty minutes drive from Arusha. It is also near mount Kilimanjaro.

6. Mukidoma is a caring community, like George Abbot it is a very successful school and students do well.Like George Abbot students attend lots of clubs and after school activities, they are encouraged to take responsibility and to do things to help the local community.

7. Mukidoma is a boarding school. Students come from all over Tanzania, they at stay at school during the term and go home in the holidays. Students share rooms, there are usually about four or six in each room. These are the girls’ and boys’ rooms.

8. Subjects taught to senior students include:Economics, Maths, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, History, Kiswahili, History, Geography and English Language. Like George Abbot, Mukidoma is an important school with excellent results.

9. Mukidoma has both a primary school and a senior school. All lessons are taught in English in the senior school.Students usually speak three languages, English, Kiswahili and another tribal language (at home with their family). Imagine having to have your lessons in a different language!
