Rocky Point Park is a cost-free activity and it’s great for young families as they have a big open field, water
park, playground, and much more. The public sector’s role is to have "each municipality has the responsibility
to ensure the availability of the broadest range of recreation opportunities for every individual and group
consistent with available community resources and needs" which Rocky Point does just that (Lunn, 2021, p.
9. The Connection:
Recreation
This urban park connects with recreation and leisure perfectly. Like I said
before this park offers many different amenities to the public "to promote
health and wellbeing through recreation" (Lunn, 2021, p. 4). "Recreation
services play a significant role in the creation of cohesive and quality
communities" which rocky point is a great place for community cohesion to
occur (Lunn, 2021, p. 5)

The movie theatre connects to recreation and leisure. Commercial recreation is divided up into five
different categories "travel and tourism, entertainment services, leisure services in the natural
environment, hospitality/food services, and retail activities" (Lunn, 2021, p. 6). Silver-city movie
theatre falls under the entertainment service and offers many different activities at the movies that

innovative leisure and recreation goods, supplies, and
services" (Lunn, 2021, p.6)."Commercial recreation, as
part of the broad leisure industry, is a major
contributor to the creation of capital, resources, and
wealth within our society" (Lunn, 2021, p. 7). This

This connects to the recreation sector in SPSC 2210. It is an indoor activity that involves
physical activity. It is also a social activity that you can do with friends and family. According to
the municipal level of government recreation helps to "encourage the development of
recreation programs and facilities" (Lunn, 2021,p. 5). ”[T]he municipal level of government is

the volunteer coaches, they would not be able to continue having

19. The Connection:
Coaching
The TCYBA organization connects to our coaching component in SPSC

schedules, and plan the goals for the season just like what we do in many
of our NCCP workbooks. The federal government's goal for recreation is
"[t]o promote health and well-being
through recreation and sport" (Lunn, 2021, p. 4). The TCYBA organization
