20. Finding (Industry)
Packing the denims in a roll form.
The rolls are covered by high quality of polythene for security purpose.
In a textiles industry, most of companies are using FCL cargo because textiles
rolls are so long (approx 35 to 45ft long) and the shipment are in bulk.
Some time the companies will covered the rolls in a wooden box as per
customer requirement.
The companies have permission for stuffing the container at factory side.

The rolls are 1000 meters long and the weight of each roll is approx 500-600
kgs.
The companies are using road transport for transporting containers factory or
port..
The companies are using truck for road transport.
The freight forwarder‟s role for the textiles industry is book the containers
from the shipping line and arrange the heavy vehicles for road travel.

• I also learned about communication gaps
• Observed basic functioning of port
• Partly learned to deal with uncertain problems faced by container
booking.
• I also learned that it is very much tough to visit at ICD.
• I learned different ways to reduce the risk.
