20. Finding (Industry)
 Packing the denims in a roll form.
 The rolls are covered by high quality of polythene for security purpose.
 In a textiles industry, most of companies are using FCL cargo because textiles
rolls are so long (approx 35 to 45ft long) and the shipment are in bulk.
 Some time the companies will covered the rolls in a wooden box as per
customer requirement.
 The companies have permission for stuffing the container at factory side.

 The rolls are 1000 meters long and the weight of each roll is approx 500-600
kgs.
 The companies are using road transport for transporting containers factory or
port..
 The companies are using truck for road transport.
 The freight forwarder‟s role for the textiles industry is book the containers
from the shipping line and arrange the heavy vehicles for road travel.

• I also learned about communication gaps
• Observed basic functioning of port
• Partly learned to deal with uncertain problems faced by container
booking.
• I also learned that it is very much tough to visit at ICD.
• I learned different ways to reduce the risk.
