4. EDITOR’S
NOTE
The progress of business in any country goes in tandem
with the progress in business education. Realising this,
educational institutions in the country have pepped up
their curriculum and training systems while many new
management institutions have also come up to meet the
growing demands.
From barter system to globalisation, from mercantile to
industrial capitalism and start-ups, the Indian business scenario
has undergone a seismic change. In the 18th century, India and
China were known to be the largest manufacturing economies
in the world. But later the country went dormant for quite some
time.
Going back to history, the business prospects in India had led
to the British's East India Company seizing control here.
As per the research in the book, India Means Business, India and
the East Asian countries had almost 60 percent share of the
world economy two thousand years ago. Now India and these
East Asian countries are rising again. If the learned economists
are to be believed, India is expected to be one of the economic
superpowers in 2020-2021. India has indeed traversed a long
way since its days of barter system.
BUSINESS SCHOOLS
AT THEIR BEST
5. India’s emergence in the economic zone could be
related to the young population and a steady
consumer market and with this also rose the need to
refurbish and enhance education in business
management.
Many schools of management have been doing
commendable work in training global leaders. Business
managers can make better business decisions as they
understand the economic theory and scenario better.
The Covid-19 pandemic has had an adverse impact on
admissions to business colleges globally. But in India,
the scenario is not yet that bad. In fact, 2.3 lakh
students applied for CAT 2020, which may not be a big
figure as compared to the previous years, but it is a
decent figure compared to the world.
An integrative approach to education is the name of
the game today. And business studies in India could
never have been this good. The educators are also
working tirelessly to incorporate innovations in their
teaching methodologies to impart the necessary
knowledge and skills required for being a competent
leader at the global level.
Internships and live projects by companies for B-
school students go a long way in training the students
in the most appropriate way and give them first-hand
experience of the present market scenario. Colleges,
now, also focus on making the students industry-ready
since this is the demand of the time and it also equips
students to take on the professional world with
confidence.
In appreciation of these B-schools that are churning
out the best in their management students, we at
The Knowledge Review, came up with a special
edition – Best Business Schools in India for 2021, that
are continuously bringing innovations in their
curriculum.
This is the right time to study business management in
India and go global on the professional front.

Focus on Holistic Development
As an academic institution, we find out every possible
opportunity to include recreations and extracurricular
activities in a student’s life for the overall holistic
development of mind and body, shares the university’s
leadership.
The university strongly believes that it should be part of the
educational curriculum where a student spends most of
his/her time. They also develop a better attitude towards the
environment and more responsible behaviour. It helps build
communication skills and team building as students have to
work in groups to solve problems. This results in more
discussions of ideas and feedback and helps students to
resolve conflict among themselves.
The students go for field visits, and experts are also invited
at the campus to deliver lectures and have interactive
sessions. It enhances peer relationships and interpersonal
skills. Students can also excel in areas other than academics
where they have an interest. Students organize many
seminars, webinars, and workshops where they get
exposure. They get a chance to discover talents other than
academic excellence, which can later help in one’s career
and life. A few workshops and seminars organized recently
include Pradanya, (annual conference), Foundation Day,
The Southeast Asian Public Health Institution Networking
Conference (SEAPHIEN), The International Conference on
Global Health and Medical Tourism in association with IIM

24. With the passage of time our educational system
has got heavily slanted towards scoring of
marks to somehow pass the examination. While
it encourages a few to come up in life, the potential of vast
majority of intelligent minds is surpassed. Realising this
need in mid-1994 and urged by Lt. Col. Satsangi VSM,
Chairman, CSKM Public School and Ajit N. Haksar,
Chairman Emeritus, ITC Ltd., Pankaj Saran, President,
EMPI conceptualized a blueprint to set up an institution
that would nurture giftedness in individuals to achieve
excellence.
The concept gained momentum when former Director of
BHEL, Sr. Management Consultant Commonwealth (UK)
and President IEEMA, Gurnam Saran, then associated as
Managing Director in an American Consulting Group,
decided to return and stepped in as Founder President of
Entrepreneurship and Management Processes International
(EMPI Business School). EMPI has a number of
distinguished people in its board who are well known
leaders in their own respective domains. EMPI Business
School Group, New Delhi was established in 1995, by a
group of nation builders who have been highly committed
and successful professionals and academicians in their own
respective domains.
Creating Outstanding Professionals
EMPI is a ‘Modern Gurukul’ of management and executive
education - a melting pot of cultures, nationalities, ideas
and diverse talent working and living together to actualise
futuristic vision. As in a gurukul, EMPI lives by the

from technology to social change. Not only is the process of
creative destructive in all walks, imperative for the way
forward but also the knowledge of ‘predicted’ future
scenarios is also equally vital.
This DNA constitutes the basis for EMPI’s institutional
ethos, wherein innovation is achieved, not only through
academic study and research at its B-School, but also by
incubating and spinning off various initiatives and entities
that impact the future. These initiatives are emergent from
the dynamic inter-play of technology, academia, public
policy and civil society, leading to the birth of a series of
‘Firsts’ in the country like setting up India’s first
Participative Public Policy Forum called “We Think for
India, that created the manufacturing policy draft for the
government of India using a decentralized process, which
was released by the then Prime Minister of India, Shri. Atal
Bihari Vajpayee Ji. EMPI’s ‘Mission Innovative India’
which was flagged off by President, Hon’ble Shri APJ
Abdul Kalam. Under this first in India initiative
organizational innovations from various sectors including
the Government, Corporate, Non-Corporate and Network of
Organizations were recognized and awarded in one
platform. Back in the year 2007, EMPI worked closely with
the Knowledge Process Outsourcing industry, NASSCOM
and the Department of IT, Government of India to identify
their training needs and consequently launch the first
programme on Research and Business Analytics in India.
EMPI is the first institution that has floated the concept of
an innovation city and have addressed so many issues that
can impact the society and the country”.

38. he jolt of this ongoing pandemic was equally felt in
Thealthcare academics sector as well. Classes were
discontinued on priority. Uncertainty loomed over
the continuation of academic curriculum, industrial
trainings, and management development programs. IIHMR,
Bangalore, was quick enough to respond towards ensuring
the continuity of ongoing classes and switched over to the
online mode for teaching purpose.
On priority, a comprehensive learning program in sync with
the leading healthcare industry stakeholders was planned
and implemented to engage students in live projects and
consulting. Courage unlocked in the lockdown at IIHMR;
students actively supported the COVID-19 management on
grounds while pursuing their industrial training with
industry stakeholders like RxDx, Keeklee Consulting,
Narayana Health, BestDoc, Apollo Group of Hospitals,
Fortis Healthcare, Columbia Asia Hospitals, Sparsh etc.
with an unfailing spirit.
Individual social responsibility (ISR) was embraced by
many of students. More than 15 projects for COVID-19
care support were implemented (12 more projects in
pipeline) by students at individual level in their
neighbourhoods, guided by faculty members. Learning
knows no age, no boundaries! Leveraging technology, the
institute scaled up its learning programs and conducted
more than 35 faculty development programs and On Live
events supported by faculties and partnering with AICTE,
Ministry of Women and Child Development, Indian
Optometric Association and other KOLs of healthcare
industry.
The FDPs and events were themed around COVID-19
preparedness, mental health and well-being, healthcare
laws, digital health, telemedicine, nutrition and health
management, design thinking and trends in healthcare
industry, to name a few. It also included skill development
workshops for doctors and management professionals in
hospital, pharmaceutical and public health sectors. “A
master stroke was played by global alumni network under a
webinar series Master Stoke by sharing industry best
practices, clarifying doubts, and conducting skill building
workshops on regular basis,” shares the management of the
institution.
Going forward, IIHMR Bangalore plans to bring in force a
Blended Model of learning in healthcare management,
encompassing online and offline teaching. Online certificate
courses focused on digital health, Artificial Intelligence in
healthcare, health insurance, hospital management and data
analytics would soon be introduced. This would largely
benefit the working professionals seeking higher
management roles and people seeking distant education.
Management of pandemics at industry and public level is
another area IIHMR is converging its energies on and
further enhancing its expertise in sync with its research and
consulting arm which offers services in hospitals and public

40. The first technological invention came about two
million years ago. From tool making and fire
igniting to the 21st-century world as we know it,
we have come a long way.
Today, we relish the age of technology! The social
connections we establish are a result of technology. I am
talking about software that runs social media platforms like
Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, WhatsApp, etc. Even the
purchases we make online are a consequence of targeted
ads (powered by AI). Electric cars, autonomous driving, 5G
data networks — the list goes on.
Technology has taken over the world. And like everything
else, it has made its way into the education system as well.
It is gaining popularity in academic circles as educators
from all over the world are looking for ways to spin
traditional teaching methods into tech-education, helping
students keep up with a world that is growing exponentially
digital.
We are shifting from the "sage on the stage" (where the
students passively listened to the teacher) to the "guide on
the side" schooling method where students learn on their
own by gathering relevant information via technology. Such
a tech-driven education system allows teachers to deliver
personalized lectures to students and makes space for
students to understand the learning content at their own
pace and ability level.
Today, colleges vouch for such a system and believe that
employing new teaching methodologies is paramount in
establishing the best possible education system. The
primary aims of colleges include:
Ÿ Preparing students to be technologically skilled for
modern workplaces.
Ÿ Equipping students with digital and online applications
and tools encourage students to test their creativity.

41. Ÿ Nurturing effective communication between students,
teachers, and even their potential future employers.
Most of the colleges, particularly those imparting education
in technology and engineering are changing the way
learning was imparted. They are employing new methods of
digitalization. Most of the colleges have an
entrepreneurship cell, student placement centres,
scholarships, incubation and innovation centres and much
more.
Colleges today have an entrepreneurship cell that acts as a
simulation to train students with the infrastructure and
resources needed to set their footings into the professional
world post-graduation with confidence. As we know,
entrepreneurship and self-employment in the world of
science and technology is the need of the hour. The
National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship
Development Board (NSTEDB) aims to mentor
entrepreneurs based on their socio-economic conditions.
With Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps conducted by the
colleges, students develop soft skills centered on
communication, empathy, time management, creativity,
negotiations, and personality development. It also
highlights entrepreneurship's value and provides hands-on
experience by industry visits — seeing
entrepreneurship in action!
With eight leading centers of excellence in the
world right now, namely, Apple iOS, R
Systems, Syscom, ITB and SALT Software
Testing, Rockwell Automation (electrical),
National Instruments Innovation Center, SMC
Pneumatics (mechanical), and e-Yantra
(electronics and communications) students get
hands-on experience with:
Ÿ Software development (building, testing,
and deploying apps).
Ÿ Solutions to local protection as well as national security
systems.
Ÿ Smart card operating systems (Syscom offers Indian
Mobile Operators high capacity cards).
Ÿ Software engineering and software testing.
Ÿ PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) software and
automation.
Ÿ Programming software, DAQ systems, controllers, and
sensors.
Ÿ Industrial Solutions in Industrial Automation.
Ÿ Industrial Solutions in the field of Pneumatic
Technology.
Ÿ Embedded computers and robotics.
By imparting such experiences to the students, all centers of
excellence contribute to student placements as well!
Company visits from the big companies are arranged to
create job offers for the students. Today, colleges do not
send its students unprepared for the interviews. They are
fully groomed by the college. Besides, colleges also help
students build technical skills and soft skills. These skills
are of paramount importance today. With both these skills,
the students become more than capable of acing any
interview and secure a well-paying job for themselves!

both as a teacher and as an administrator in education
sector. In my career of three decades, I involved myself into
teaching, served as a training and placement officer and
Head of the Department and facilitated students in the field
of research and innovation as a Dean - R & D. More than
this, it is my passion towards teaching that led me to and
sustaining in this sector and contributes towards growth
and development of students. I love to be around children
while they are growing into citizens, and I feel very proud to
contribute to their growth,” he emphasized.
“I could experience and be a part of this journey in terms of
teaching pedagogy, quality assurance, teaching methods
etc,” he added.
The learning environment in any educational institution
certainly affects student engagement and performance.
Whether the class is in a small lecture hall, a large seminar,
or a laboratory section, a learning environment where all
feel safe, valued, and respected is necessary for students to
achieve and demonstrate their full potential. Since a
negative environment can be an obstacle to learning, it is

49. Change for Better
In a changing world it pays to be a generalist, not a
specialist.”
Managers are classic generalists.
The evolution of management thought is a process that
started since the early days of humans. It began since the
period we saw the need to live in groups and build
civilisations. Management has been practiced in one way or
the other since civilisation began. Fast-forwarding to the
industrial revolution, which brought drastic change and
suddenly, the need to develop a more holistic and formal
management theory became a necessity.
A brief examination of the modern history will reveal that
companies have been putting different management theories
into practice. Not only have these helped to increase
productivity but they have also improved the quality of
services. In the 80s, there was an increase in growth and
competitive level in the global economy, as a result of
convergence of economies, which shifted focus from
traditional management theories as organisations became
non-restive as they tried to proffer solution to newer
management issues.
Prof. Dr Sanjiv Marwah, Director of JK Business School,
says, “The landscape of management education has
undergone a huge transition over the years. Management
education in India has been on a rising spree, both in
demand and in supply. With the changing business
dynamics, there is a huge demand for motivated business
professionals who are equipped with the skill sets of a
specialist, and possess knowledge required to deal with
multiple challenges.”
Hence, management studies have moved beyond the typical
managerial roles and prepare students to deal with new
complexities arising in the global business environment,
according to Dr Marwah. Dr Sanjiv Marwah is an industry-
veteran-turned-academician and is widely respected for his
ability to bridge the gap between industry and academia.
He added: “Business Schools are now focused on lessons
based on the critical link between real-life issues and
research-based education. The present and future of
management education lies on tech-savvy curriculum, strong
industry connect and learning beyond academics in order to
nurturethemanagers oftomorrow.”
Pankaj Saran commented: “Management education in India
took off in a significant way with the de-regulation brought
about by the AICTE which led to a huge influx of talented
young minds coming in from a traditional university system
and learning the lexicon of management to service the very
high growth rates in almost all sectors of the Indian
economy.”
Pankaj Saran is the president of EMPI institutions
(Entrepreneurship & Management Processes International),
among other things. He added: “Further, high levels of
obsolesce and low levels of learning and teaching along
with life skill preparation necessitated a demand for a
comprehensive management education programme, that
could give students contemporary education, life-skill
training, and practical exposure to the real world. Also,
many specific sectors which were hitherto closed were
opened up like BFSI, Media, Telecom, Automobiles etc.
"The economy underwent a drastic transformation from a
pure production economy to a consumeristic economy,
which created a huge requirement of jobs in the marketing
and financial services sector. Students from non-
engineering background suddenly found a huge wealth of
managerial jobs, much beyond than what was available
earlier.”
Dr P. R. Sodani, President of IIHMR University, also spoke
about the issue: “Higher education adapts to a new
economic landscape and job market, the world of digital
communication, and the ongoing march of globalization.
Management studies have changed leaps and bounds.
Advances in artificial intelligence, blockchain,
digitalization, and technology have also enforced many
adults in the working to reconsider their careers as the job
market changes.”
“Many want to quickly transform, requiring a whole new
set of soft skills, looking at the job market demands. These
situations have helped welcome fast-paced learning with
highly specialized topics into the fold, such as online
courses in various soft skill development as well. Now, there
are older students on the campus, with part-timers joining
the ranks.”
With all such exciting developments, management is an
exciting field to be in right now.

50. MBAESG We Mean
Business!
In the business world, the
appropriate use of inspiration and
experience often translates to
success and wisdom. On the other
hand, ill-informed decisions,
miscommunication, and the inability to
manage your team to take the right
steps are often attributed as the leading
reasons as to why CEOs and business
leaders fail. The importance of good
leadership and management skills is
more vital now than ever before, and
something that cannot be overstated.
In this day and age, strong and
innovative business leadership is
quickly becoming the need of the hour;
and institutions that can consistently
develop these innovative business
leaders will not only be sustainable in
the near and medium terms but also
forge a path for others to follow.
One such institution which is best
suited to guide the future business
leaders and visionaries of the near
future is Bengaluru-based MBAESG
India.
MBAESG is a brand within Galileo
Education Solutions, an established
and recognized global leader in its own
right. Galileo is Europe's biggest
education solutions company, primarily
in the postgraduate (PG) space, while
also facilitating the undergraduate
(UG) space. Soon, Galileo aims at
cementing itself as the largest
educational solutions company in the
world.
Galileo Education Solutions
The year 2011 saw the acquisition
between Galileo and Studialis,
although the company has been in
operation for nearly two decades. The
best way to describe Galileo is that it is
a portfolio of various brands, having
footprints in various sectors, all related
to the education industry.
In the field of design, there exist some
globally recognized entities within the
Galileo group, like the Strate School of
Design. Then there is HETIC – a
globally recognized digital business
leadership institutional entity.
Furthermore, there is the Atelier
Chardon Savard Fashion School,
another eminent brand in the global
fashion industry.
The move to India, for Galileo, was
done by launching a joint venture with
the prominent EdTech pioneers in
India; iNurture Education Solutions.
Therefore, the joint venture is called
iNurture Galileo Pvt Ltd. MBAESG
offers degree programs in MBA with
their partnership through Jain
(Deemed-to-be University) in
Bengaluru. Currently, the institution
plans to expand beyond the boundaries
of Bengaluru into different states, with
the help of their partner iNurture which

Management in Bengaluru. For over 30
years, MBAESG, among Europe's
leading business schools, has been
delivering talented business
professionals to the global resource
markets in the sectors having its
footprints. Each year, through various
channels, the school offers students the
opportunity to get in touch with
companies and be confronted with
real-time live scenarios.
In a constantly evolving economic
context, the use of interactive teaching
tools combined with multimedia
equipment ensures that students
undergo a thorough educational
transformational change, through the
creative use of Blended Learning
methodology. Efficient and interactive
tools made available to students
enables them to fulfil the needs of not
only the company which engages them
but also the business, as a whole.
Hence, they develop the fundamental
knowledge and skills in the key areas
of a company: finance, management,
and marketing.
MBAESG Paris has about 38 different
programs in MBA itself, which
includes discipline-specific MBAs like
MBA in finance, MBA in international
business, MBA in marketing, and
many others. The institute is well
renowned for its MBAs in domain-
specific postgraduate programs – such
as sports, luxury, and hospitality.
MBAESG India currently facilitates
two programs which started from 2017
onwards: MBA Sports Management;
and MBA Luxury Management. Soon
the institute plans to launch its MBA in
Hospitality Management as well.
Academic Outlook
To date, the institute has facilitated the
graduation of two batches of business
aspirants already – first graduating
2019 garnering massive success in
terms of placements, and just last year,
the second batch did the same. There
were big multinationals like ITW
Global, Puma, Nike, AUDI, Decathlon,
and many other exciting industry
dominators.
Owing to the MBAESG's association
with Jain (Deemed-to-be University),
students passing out get a dual
certification: First of which is an MBA
degree from Jain (Deemed-to-be
University) which is AICTE driven and
accepted by the UGC; Secondly they
also get a Professional Graduation
Certification from MBAESG Paris
which aligns with the Parisian and
French pedagogical system and
philosophy.
The future business leaders graduating
from this institution can avail this dual
certification program, which spans
over two years or four semesters and
helps students achieve their
educational and certification needs
globally.
A New Perspective and a Fresh
Approach
A question now beckons: What makes
the learning experience at MBAESG
so unique and transformational and yet
so very fulfilling?
The answer lies in the first principles
of the uniquely designed operating
model which is divided into two parts:
the pedagogy and the industry
interface. The unique operating model
of MBAESG caters to every
foundational need that defines a
complete education for business
administration, both in the domains of
sports management and luxury
management.
Starting with the pedagogical elements:
Ÿ International French Faculty –
The French educators bring in their
pedagogy to India, exactly the way
it is taught in Paris. For sports and
luxury management, there are 10
French educators each from the
programs which teach 10 out of the
14 specializations of the two-year

important to note that this element
of MBAESG has not been
replicated by anybody else in India.
Ÿ Learning by Doing – This is an
apprenticeship method of pedagogy
where you roll up your sleeves and
get to work. The leadership of ESG
believes that apart from just theory,
learning happens when the students
engage with the learning process
and there are specific measurable
outputs. This includes internships,
presentations, conferences,
organizing events.
Ÿ Academic Rigour – Several core
subjects which are spread over the
four semesters emphasize a strong
theoretical underpinning, which
gets manifested in reports,
presentations; outcomes, which are
a result of Project-centric Learning
and Outcome-based Education.
Ÿ Case Studies – The students at
MBAESG must undertake a lot of
case studies, mostly from the USA
and Western Europe, and others
from India.
Ÿ Directed and Independent
Learning – The faculty members
and educators direct their respective
students to go and do their research
(direct), on the completion of which
these students have to present what
they have learned. The students are
entrusted with the idea that learning
is their responsibility, and the
teachers facilitate the process. This
translates into independent learning
– while pursuing their research, the
students invariably come across
various other associated subjects
and knowledge, sparking the latent
interest of inquisitive learners.
The students cannot become exemplary
professionals if they do not grasp the
functional understanding and the
ground reality of their respective
sectors. MBAESG understands this
fully well and thus provides a platform
for a very strong industry interface to
facilitate holistic learning, whose key
elements are as follows:
Ÿ Business-Academia Partnership
through Industry Field Visits and
Internships: The institute is
strongly connected with the sports
and learning sectors through
partnerships that manifest into
lucrative internship programs.
Uniquely, there are three internship
programs that the students have to
undertake.
Ÿ Two-week experiential-learning
trip to Paris: Between the second
and third semesters, all the students
get the opportunity to go to Paris to
understand the wider scope of their
studies, interact with students their
age, form bonds, build networks,
and understand each other's cultural
differences. Recently, the students
received a masterclass by Gerard
Houllier (late), the manager of
Liverpool FC. This kind of massive
exposure is very rare, certainly one
of a kind as compared to other
MBA institutions.
Ÿ Eminent Guest Speakers: Some
of the eminent guest speakers that
have visited the campus to give
lectures, inspire and drop useful
insights about the industry are –
Parminder Gill, CEO of
SportzVillage; ex-CFO of BCCI,
Santosh Rangnekar; Archana Jain,
MD PR Pundit; Avnish Anand, Co-
Founder, Caratlane; and many other
respected intellectuals and
practitioners in their respective
domains of expertise.
Ÿ Business Simulation: Perhaps the
most interesting part of the whole
MBA program is the business
simulation games. Operating as
teams and split the tasks of
marketing, production, operational
oversight, distribution channels,
etc., the students compete against
each other to see each other in a
strategically and tactically oriented
game, juggling multitudes of tasks
and challenges at the same time.
Leader of the Pack
Coming from a varied background, Mr.
Biswas has got to live two lives in a
single lifetime. The first was spent
being a professional in the hospitality
industry for more than 14 years. He
worked in different organizations like
the Oberoi Hotels, The Park Hotels,
Radisson Hotels, and various other
illustrious organizations. A story he
recounts is that of the opening of
India’s first-ever Spanish restaurant in
Delhi, and one of his first guests was
the Crown Prince of Spain (now the
King of Spain).
This soon led to Mr. Biswas's
prominence in the hospitality industry,
but at this time, he desired to be in
academia. So, after leaving the
industry and finishing up a course from
Leeds Beckett University, he joined the
academic body – teaching
management, research, and strategy.
He was often called to lead MBA
programs in India, for different
universities such as one in Edith
Cowan University, Perth, Australia,
and Cardiff Metropolitan University in
Wales, UK, then the Anglia Ruskin

53. University in England, and the last was
the University of West of Scotland.
Being very strongly embedded in the
European Pedagogy, Mr. Biswas has
done extensive research in the domain
of entrepreneurship.
Two years ago, he joined MBAESG
and overlooked all components of the
business. Mr. Biswas has worked tooth
and nail throughout his entire career
and gathered a bevy of experience and
garnered the respect and adoration of
industry leaders and academicians
worldwide. Now in the institute, he
looks after the complete operations and
major outcomes of his students at
MBAESG India.
Aspiring to Make a Difference
Mr. Biswas points out that one of the
major values of their institute is the
holistic development of students,
moulding them into honest
professionals who are ready to face the
challenges of the society head-on.
From the angle of honesty, the students
also pay heed to intellectual property
rights and learn from a young age that
it is respectful to give respect to those
who are the original creators and
original developers of any specific idea
or concept.
The foundation of MBAESG is of
putting forward holistic professionals
in sports and luxury domains with
competencies and sensitivities with
regards to all sections of the society
and also the environment. The institute
is a forerunner in fields of guiding the
new generation of business leaders and
industry experts that are sure to be
disruptive in the industries they end up
joining.
It is an exciting time in the world right
now, an exciting time to be in
MBAESG India.
The major
value of MBAESG
is the holistic
development of
students, making
them into honest
professionals who are
