The Problem
1. Millennials in the workforce (soon to comprise of 75% of the workforce) significantly value freedom
and independence. This is leading to higher turnover rates as millennials opt for working for
themselves or finding remote opportunities.
2. On the other hand, many millennials underestimate the difficulties of entrepreneurship.
90% of all ideas never see the light of day.

Value Proposition
• We can tap into this growing trend of young, entrepreneurial millennials and keep them more engaged by giving
them an environment to put forth new ideas and potentially work on taking them forward
• Brand Capgemini as a more innovative and forward thinking company
• Be the first consulting company to set up its own corporate entrepreneurship program
• Provide our employees a safe environment to experiment and fail
• Test new methods and processes to generate innovation, once we have a PROVEN method that works, we can sell it
back to them through the AIE (or under the same Captivate Labs branding)

Our Vision: Captivate Labs
An internal startup focused on championing corporate
entrepreneurship and developing a culture of innovation both for
clients and our own employees. We crowd-source ideas across the
company and select and incubate top ideas for implementation. We
bring this innovation methodology to clients by delivering leading edge
offerings such as Hackathon as a Service

Investing in a Corporate Entrepreneurship program will:
- Enable employees to work autonomously on their projects all the while staying in the company, empowered and
motivated by providing them mentors and resources
- Attract new talents that will want to thrive in an innovative environment
- Develop new innovative products and services
- Reduce time-to-market
It will be articulated around:
- An ideation phase: A community Idea Management/Open Innovation platform will enable employees to submit an idea
that will then enriched and sponsored by colleagues, clients and students. Outputs from hackathons/innovation challenges
will also feed into this ideation phase.
- An incubation and acceleration phase: 3-6 months, provided mentorship, coaching, funding, and work space (AIE/ASE)
- The go-to-market phase :
• If the project is successful, the intrapreneur can launch it either inside or outside Capgemini
• If the project is unsuccessful, the intrapreneur can go back to his previous job
The expected outcomes are :
- Create a continuous stream of innovation
- Implement innovation and risk-taking in the culture of the company
- Develop and retain its talents as well as attract new ones

Ideation
Process of generating, developing, and communicating new ideas. Leverage company-
wide hackathons and open innovation tools such as Spigit.
Launch
3 outcomes :
- Project successful, launched inside Capgemini : New offering
- Project successful, launched outside of Capgemini : Spinoff
- Project unsuccessful : Intrapreneur back to previous job
Incubation & Acceleration
3 months to work on the idea with the help of mentors, coaches and using
the company’s resources (up to 2 days/week).
