Adult Students in Scholastic Transition (ASIST)
Scholarship Program – The Executive Women
International (EWI) offers the ASIST Scholarship
Program to benefit non-traditional students. Non-
traditional students include persons who are past
high school age and who are entering college or
trade schools and/or the workforce for the first time,
non-traditional students already enrolled in a
college or trade program, are re-training due to
changes in the workplace, or who otherwise are not
the traditional college or trade school student,
recently finished with high school. Download

Alu Like, Inc – The Hana Lima Scholarship provides
financial assistance to students participating in
vocational or technical education program for
occupations that can proved a living wage. This
scholarship is available to students in vocational
programs that lead to a specific segment of
employment

University Women (AAUW) Honolulu Branch – The
Honolulu Branch of the American Association of
University Women offers additional fellowships and
scholarships to assist women wishing to continue
their education in Hawai‘i. Go to the ‘Scholarships’

American Association of University Women offers
additional fellowships and scholarships to assist
women wishing to continue their education in

American Business Women’s Association (ABWA)
Onipa’a Chapter – The Onipa‘a Chapter of the
American Business Women’s Association proudly
announces a scholarship program to benefit
students. The Onipa‘a Chapter is sponsoring one (1)

Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund
(APIASF)
Buildium’s Build U. Scholarship – This scholarship is
for Information Technology degree majors only. If
interested read the scholarship details,
requirements, and application process. The deadline
is April 30, 2015.
Dependents of Members of Bargaining Unit 07 –
Scholarship for dependents of members of BU 07
who attend any campus of the UH System. The
member of BU 07, will be able to apply and identify
dependent(s), who will then complete the
application. One application must be submitted per
dependent. The first-come, first-served queue will
begin automatically once the application is fully
completed by the member and dependent. The
dependent must already have applied and been
admitted to a UH campus to qualify. Continuing
students already enrolled qualify as well.
Disabled Veterans Scholarship – The Chicago Injury
Center is proud to offer four scholarships for
disabled US Veterans, ranging from $250 to $1000.

Applicants should write a 500+ word essay
discussing the unique challenges they have faced as
a disabled veteran and how their experiences have
prepared them to overcome the challenges they will
see as students. Essays and all other application
materials should be sent to the Chicago Injury
Center by June 1, 2015.
The F.C. Tucker Scholarship – The F.C. Tucker
Scholarship is a $1,500 award to the student who
best demonstrates the values and principles that we
consider crucial to running a successful business. In
order to win the scholarship, students will have to
demonstrate their personal values through an essay
and attached personal statement. Deadline is May
30, 2014.
FAMES Hawaii (10th Annual Scholarship): FAMES
Hawaii has been committed to the core principles of
Mentoring, Educating, Motivating and Leadership
Development for entrepreneurs, business owners
and the community since its inception! FAMES truly
believes in empowering current and future

entrepreneurs and leaders to achieve business and
economic success while learning to contribute back
to the community.
-Ten undergraduates will be awarded scholarships
in tuition payment of up to $1,000 to any accredited
college or university in the United States. Awards are
for one year only. FAMES scholarship recipients will
receive a full year membership plus an opportunity
to be selected a part of our monthly event committee
every second Wednesday of the month.
-Eligibility: Business Administration major; full-time
enrollment; at least 1 year of college credits; US
citizen or Legal US Resident.
-DEADLINE: SEPTEMBER 30, 2014. Applications can
be submitted via email or US postage. Please see the
10th Annual FAMES Scholarship Announcement and
Instructions, in addition to the FAMES Hawaii (10th
Annual Scholarship).
Hawaiian Civic Club of Honolulu
Hawaii Education Association – The Hawaii Education

Association is offering three different scholarships.
Each scholarship has its own application packet so if
interested please review and fill out the appropriate
scholarships you qualify and wish to apply for.
Application deadlines are April 1, 2015. (1) HEA –
Hiroshi & Barbara Kim Yamashita (2) HEA – Student
Teachers (3) HEA – Undergraduate College Student
Hawai‘i Government Employees Association (HGEA) –
Students (and members) who are Hawai‘i
Government Employees Association dependents may
apply for the Charles R. Kendall Scholarship, Russell
K. Okata Scholarship, HGEA Member Awards,
AFSCME Family Scholarship, and Jerry Clark
Memorial Scholarship. Deadlines vary (check website
for deadline).
Hawaii State Federal Credit Union (HSFCU) – The
Hawai‘i State Federal Credit Union Scholarship
program provides scholarships for HSFCU members
or their dependents seeking a post-high school
education. Scholarship recipients are selected based
on financial need, academic merit, and extra-
curricular activities. Application period is open from

January through April each year.
HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union – The Hawai‘i USA
Federal Credit Union offers scholarships to members
who are graduating high school seniors or current
college students. Scholarships are awarded based
on merit, academic standing, leadership, financial
need, and recommendations. Application is due in
February.
Hispanic Scholarship Fund
Kamehameha Schools Scholarships – The
Kamehameha Schools provides financial assistance
to students including Post-High Scholarships. KSBE’s
policy is to give preference to applicants of Hawaiian
ancestry to the extent permitted by law. Application
period opens January. Deadlines vary – see website
for details.
Ke Ali‘i Pauahi Foundation (KAPF) – Merit or need
based scholarships with a preference for applicants
of Hawaiian ancestry. This foundation strives to
generate new and diverse sources of income to
support the increasing educational needs and goals
of people of Hawaiian ancestry.

Ko‘olaupoko Hawaiian Civic Club
Liko A‘e – Liko A`e is a Native Hawaiian Scholarship
Program administered by Maui Community College.
Funding for the program comes from the U.S.
Department of Education via the Native Hawaiian
Education Act.
Making College Affordable: An Online Guide For
Hispanic Students includes college affordability,
scholarships, and other educational resources.
Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance Scholarship -The
Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance is proud to award
$4,000 to one student each semester whose life has
been impacted by cancer.
The purpose of this scholarship is to provide
financial assistance to college students in their
pursuit of higher education. If you’ve battled a form
of cancer yourself, or witnessed a loved one
receiving treatment, we want to hear your story
Oahu Retired Teachers Scholarship – The Oahu
Retired Teachers Association (ORTA) announces the
availability of scholarship grants of $1,000 for

community college students enrolled in Hawai’i for
the school year 2015-2016. Please see eligibility,
requirements, and deadline if interested in applying.
Outrigger Duke Kahanamoku Foundation (ODKF) –
Scholarship Grants – The Outrigger Duke
Kahanamoku Foundation offers Scholarship Grants
to students who have participated in select
competitive sports (canoeing, surfing, kayaking,
swimming, water polo, and volleyball). Application
period is open from January 1st to April 1st each
year.
Palama Settlement Scholarship – Palama Settlement
offers two educational scholarship program
opportunties: Hannah Cochrane College Scholarship
(selection based on participation in community
service, financial need, and for achieving high
scholastic records) and Blackfield & Friends
Education Scholarship (selection based on student’s
affiliation/participation in Palama Settlement’s
programs, financial need, and for achieving high

for the Fall start of the school year.
Rosenfeld Injury Lawyers’ Single Mother
Scholarship – Rosenfeld Injury Lawyers believes in
the empowerment of single mothers through
education. Education has the power to open doors
for single mothers and even their children. Having a
degree or certification can enable a woman to
expand her lifetime earning potential, increase her
gross income, and provide her with better job
opportunities. If interested please read the
application process, criteria, and requirements to
apply for scholarship.
Sallie Mae Fund Scholarship Program – The Sallie
Mae Fund provides scholarship funds to Hispanic
and African Americans, families with unmet needs,
and children of those killed or permanently disabled
as a result of September 11, 2001.

Soroptimist Women’s Opportunity Awards Program

Soroptimist International Women’s Opportunity
Awards provide cash grants to women who are
working to better their lives through additional skills
training and education. Must be a woman with
primary financial responsibility for yourself and your
dependents (children, spouse, siblings, and/or
parents), attending a vocational skills training
program or undergraduate degree program, and
have financial need. Application (with references)
must be received by December 31st.
Thermo Scientific Pierce Scholarship Program –
Students in the Natural Science – Life Science major
are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The
application deadline is August 1, 2014.
United Negro College Fund (UNCF)
Women’s League of Central Union Church – Rewick
and Scudder Scholarships – The Women’s League of
Central Union Church will make multiple awards for
the Kenneth O. Rewick Educational Aid Grant and
the Ruth C. Scudder Scholarship. The Scholarship

Committee will review applications based on the
following criteria: 1.) Scholarship, 2.) Evidence of real
financial need, 3.) Character, 4.) Community Service,
5.) Evidence of personal effort to supplement
educational funds. Deadline is last day of February.
