 Recommendations for

1. Scholarships for Lakota/& or Native American students at the graduate or undergraduate level in the medical/ education field through University of

preliminary research on this so far)
2. Pine Ridge Hospital Baby Basket Program through the American Indian Relief Association. This program appears to be a direct outgrowth of Mercy Apostle’s
work: $5,000. It is administered by American Indian Relief Fund in Rapid City S.D.
3. Native Women's Health Care Clinic at Rapid City serving Lakota infants and families : a financial donation of $5,00-$10,000 for set up of baby basket program
in Mercy’s honor ( $75.00 per basket). Women delivering on reservation receive a basket-- women delivering off reservation receive nothing. According to
Barbara Bloomfield supervisor at the clinic most Lakota women deliver at the regional hospital so they can get an epidural not provided for at the Pine Ridge
hospital and are thus served by her clinic.

Native American youth in entering the medical fields as a profession. $1,000 or more

Pine Ridge Hospital Baby Basket Program through the American Indian Relief Association. This program appears to be a direct outgrowth of Mercy Apostle’s work: $5,000. It is administered by American Indian Relief Fund in Rapid City S.D. 3. Native Women's Health Care Clinic at Rapid City serving Lakota infants and families : a financial donation of $5,00-$10,000 for set up of baby basket program in Mercy’s honor ( $75.00 per basket).
