hypertension to understand how they manage the disease
and how to improve that experience

About the research
In November 2020, Valencell surveyed 787 people with hypertension to understand how they manage the
disease and how to improve that experience. The online survey was conducted via SurveyMonkey using their
audience selection tools to identify respondents with high blood pressure.

Patients value trending over point-in-time
measurements
Blood pressure is not being measured enough even
among those diagnosed with hypertension
Huge opportunities exist to ease the burden of BP
monitoring with non-invasive sensor technology
embedded in devices they already wear or use
Patients are much more willing to monitor BP when it
involves cuffless, passive solution
