9th BioDetectors Conference on 14-15th April 2016 in Lausanne, Switzerland
The use of in vitro bioassays as a biodetection tool is expanding rapidly in many fields, including toxicology, ecotoxicology, occupational health, pharmaceutical and medical device technology, for both research and quality assurance purposes.
Bioassays (also called biotests, biological tests, effect-based biotests) are defined as methods which use living cells, tissues or organisms to assess exposure-related effects of chemicals. The number and types of bioassay applications are currently exploding. This approach presents an appropriate alternative to animal testing in various applicability domains.
The two days meeting will cover biodetection tools development/application on food, occupational health and environmental topics as well as further thinking about the contribution of biodetection to risk assessment.
This conference will also be the opportunity to gather actual and future users of the approach in order to share experience and solutions to your needs in the field during our science café and posters session. This would be the occasion for laboratory technicians, students, scientists, lab suppliers, CRO’s and method developers to sit together and empower the field with ideas. For those who wants the practice flavor, a visit to a laboratory equipped for biodetection methods is in the agenda.
The registration deadline is 15th of March and we’re looking much forward to meet you all in Lausanne!
