2. In-class connectivity
Many classrooms now implement wireless, interactive learning technology.
Devices such as iPads and smart boards allow students to share information
during a lesson, display projects and answers so they can be easily viewed by
peers, and other technologies capable of interpreting and reciprocating student
activity for the greater good of a unit’s subject matter.
3. School safety
IoT has become a major component
to modern school safety protocol.
Some school districts have
implemented digitised devices like
wristbands and personal
identification cards to keep tabs on
students, staff members, and visitors.
Additionally, connected GPS
technology has allowed for safer bus
routes, keeping drivers connected to
brick and mortar facilities in the
event of an emergency or violent
crisis
4. Research
IoT has revolutionized student
research both in and out of class.
Some textbooks are now able to
interact with student-owned smart
devices.
For example, textbook QR codes can
be scanned through a smartphone to
access additional information on a
chapter or assignment, giving
students a full range of
understanding when they may not
have extra help readily available.
