2. Employees Gather to Recognize Airbus
When Airbus delivered its 6,000th airplane earlier this year, some of our
employees got together to commemorate this significant milestone.
Airbus is our single largest program in Nashville, employing about 500 people. Deliveries
for the A330/A340 began in 1990, with more than 1,100 wing component units shipped to
date. We’ve also played a role in the Airbus A319/A320 family of aircraft. From 1997 to
2007, workers at this facility built and delivered more than 600 aircraft sets of upper wing
panel assemblies for the popular single-aisle A319/A320.
