REMEMBER : Express only one main idea!
Tips For Writing A Good
Paragraph:
1. Always proof read what you write.
2. Dont be afraid to edit or change something in
   your writing.
3. Remember that a paragraph must be
   coherent.
4. Dont be afraid to use transitional phrases.
5. Stay on one idea.
1. Topic Sentence.
1. Introduce the main idea in the paragraph.
2. It doesnt give too many details to the reader.
3. Only an idea of what the paragraph will be
out.
2. Supporting Sentence
1. In a few sentence, give detail and support the
    main idea of the paragraph.
2. You should give the fact, detail and example.

                   Restate the

                   using
                   different
                   words.

Elaborate this paragraph into parts of

                      BATIK
      Indonesia is very famous for its batik.
Everywhere you go, you see people wearing
batik shirts and dresses. Indonesia also likes to
use it for table-clothes and curtains. Batik has
many uses in several occasions in Indonesia. So
thats why Batik become popular in Indonesia.
Key Answer: Topic Sentence
Indonesia is very famous for its batik.

In this sentence the writter try to introduce the
issue or topic to the reader that will be talking in
the paragraph.

Remember: a topic sentence is the most
important sentence in paragraph. It briefly
indicates what the paragraph is going to discuss.
Key Answer: Supporting
Sentence
Everywhere you go, you see people wearing
batik shirts and dresses. Indonesia also likes to
use it for table-clothes and curtains. Batik has
many uses in several occasions in Indonesia.

In this sentences the writter try to supporting the
issue or topic to the reader that will be talking in
the paragraph. The writer also given some
reason to developed the main topic.

sentence
So thats why Batik become popular in Indonesia.

In this sentence the writter try to conclude the
topic and supporting sentence and emphasize
on the topic it self.

Concluding = Restate topic and concluding.

  • 5. Tips For Writing A Good Paragraph: 1. Always proof read what you write. 2. Dont be afraid to edit or change something in your writing. 3. Remember that a paragraph must be coherent. 4. Dont be afraid to use transitional phrases. 5. Stay on one idea.
  • 6. 1. Topic Sentence. 1. Introduce the main idea in the paragraph. 2. It doesnt give too many details to the reader. 3. Only an idea of what the paragraph will be out.
  • 7. 2. Supporting Sentence 1. In a few sentence, give detail and support the main idea of the paragraph. 2. You should give the fact, detail and example. THIS WILL HELP THE READER UNDERSTAND YOUR TOPIC BETTER
  • 8. 3. Concluding Sentence Restate the main idea in the paragraph using different words.
  • 9. Example of Paragraph Elaborate this paragraph into parts of paragraph! BATIK Indonesia is very famous for its batik. Everywhere you go, you see people wearing batik shirts and dresses. Indonesia also likes to use it for table-clothes and curtains. Batik has many uses in several occasions in Indonesia. So thats why Batik become popular in Indonesia.
  • 10. Key Answer: Topic Sentence Indonesia is very famous for its batik. In this sentence the writter try to introduce the issue or topic to the reader that will be talking in the paragraph. Remember: a topic sentence is the most important sentence in paragraph. It briefly indicates what the paragraph is going to discuss.
  • 11. Key Answer: Supporting Sentence Everywhere you go, you see people wearing batik shirts and dresses. Indonesia also likes to use it for table-clothes and curtains. Batik has many uses in several occasions in Indonesia. In this sentences the writter try to supporting the issue or topic to the reader that will be talking in the paragraph. The writer also given some reason to developed the main topic.
  • 12. Key Answer: Concluding sentence So thats why Batik become popular in Indonesia. In this sentence the writter try to conclude the topic and supporting sentence and emphasize on the topic it self. Remember: Concluding = Restate topic and concluding.
