Personal Commitment Letter
On this letter i wanna establish the kind of leader i’d like to be; and the answer is that I would like to be
like Alexander the Great. How I’m working to achieve this goal? Just keep following my life plan as it was
established when I did it, I won’t break the rules, I won’t let anyone to change my mind, following my
instinct and staying closer to the people I consider the right one for me. As Alexander the Great I want to
become someone very important, I’d dare to say very well known all over the world, to become one of
the greatest leaders all over the world being young, with real human sense, not following personal
desires or being greedy. Humble in every single way, a leader that came from the people, will lead the
people, will stay the people and be for the people.
How am I going to work in order to get there? Ain’t gonna be easy, it’ll be tough and hard, because there
will be lotta obstacles on my path, so I’ve to have a great determination, the desire and the will. To
begin with, I must finish studying the college, to get graduated and my degree, it’s basic for the
purposes that I want. After my degree I have 2 choices after graduation, stay here in Mexico and look for
a good job and well paid; or going to a foreign country and look for best opportunities. They how I’m
gonna reach the first goal, is that here in Mexico I have a great curriculum and I think I can get a job, a
good one in almost every single company, because I have worked abroad, I have international vision and
panorama, I’ve had positions working abroad and I’ve growing up, in those positions I developed many
skills, that will help me to get a position; besides that I have all necessary tools, included the values and
the ethics requires to be an example for the community and for my god.
My strategies to reach my goals will be to follow my life plan as I planed, it’ll be really hard, because
there will be lotta facts that will try to change my mind and this will lead to modify my life plan. Other
fact will be to stay close to the people who is gonna be really helpful for me, for example, intellectual
people that will help to keep increasing my intellectual level, that will help me to improve my panorama,
more sensitive. During the time I have left on college I gotta keep having good grades, its vital for to
keep that, because either way I can’t get graduated. Secondly and this is during the time I’m in college, I
have to keep in touch with my American fellows, because they will be the key if wanna have success in
the United states; same thing if I take the choice of joining the marines. Until this part I wanna be clear,
because If I’m gonna stay in the United States, I’ll do it after get graduated and moved over there, next
to the chance of getting a job or joining the marines. If I become a marine I have to sign a 3 years
contract, after the contract, I have the idea to go back for getting a good job or set a new small company
with a projection in the future.
All of this, it’s gonna be part of my own building, I don’t have all the money in the world, but I have all
the desire to become a good man of the world, and if I add to this god’s help, it would be more easy to
reach that goal, it might sound simple, but it really important in my life because in my life, god takes a
lot of importance.
Continuing with my strategy, for reaching my goals, the perseverance will be one of the most important
facts to make it possible, because if I’m not perseverant and constant, I won’t be able to make it

My presence will contribute for a better world in such many ways, for the next reasons, if I get a job
here in Mexico, of course I will share my wealth, with the people who really need it, I have the
experience of working with homeless during social projects services and it touched a deep part inside of
me, besides I’m a man whose coming from a humble family that had spent moments with poor people
in the flea markets, in the streets, in very poor town far away from the cities. Same thing will happen if I
have to go to the United States, I’ll help all the immigrants that had to go to the United States looking
for best chances to make some money and send the money to their families in Mexico and all over latin-
america, they have been suffering from all kind of discrimination and been victims of unfair laws on a
foreign country. I’ll do my best to help them with legal aid, maybe with scholarships, teaching English for
those who doesn’t knows the language.
I wanna be someone who’s establishing rules, for the common well I’ll do the best for help the
community, my country, my land and for my environment. I don’t wanna be the richest man in the
world, for me it has no sense, as long I has the necessary stuff to be alright, the other else can go directly
to someone who really need it. I just wanna that my name be reminded and when somebody talks
about me, they say I was human that made his dreams come true and helped everybody putting god in
first instance.

How I wanna be remembered? Well I wanna be remembered as the man I was since I was born, like the
man who I am right now, and for the things I’ll do in the future. I just wanna everybody can remember
my name in a good way, not like a hero, not like a politician, not like a politician… like a man of the
world.
