3. EATING DISORDERS
Amid the magazines, movies, television shows etc. an adolescent (both male and
female) is bombarded with messages that signal if s/he is not extremely thin then s/he
is abnormal.
Marilyn Monroe was a size “12″ during some periods of time in her career. Having
“meat on your bones” was viewed as attractive.
Being a size “0″ was unheard of 20 years ago.

4. MENTAL HEALTH DISORDERS
We offer sophisticated treatment for teenagers facing depression,
bipolar, oppositional defiance, generalized anxiety disorder, post
traumatic stress disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder and other
disorders.
Our experienced clinical team can help equip an adolescent and their
family with the necessary tools to assess their environment and
engage in positive coping skills acquisition.

5. SUBSTANCE ABUSE
Within our substance abuse track a multidisciplinary team of addiction professionals work closely with
the client while providing education and ongoing support to the entire family system.
We partner with detoxification (“detox”) centers to ensure that clients are able to come down from
highs safely.
Upon completion of “detox”, clients are then transitioned into our program for treatment.
A triggers list, 12-step work and relapse prevention plans are incorporated into an adolescent’s
treatment plan.
At discharge, we ensure that the most optimal home environment is ready to support the positive
changes that a client has made in treatment.
We execute a strong discharge plan to solidify lasting long term sobriety.

6. CO-OCCURING DISORDERS
Oftentimes an adolescent encounters a significant amount of stress associated with
peer pressure or family discord or other problems. Because of this stress, the teenager
becomes emotionally unstable and starts using drugs to medicate their stress.
Rather than the substances used offering solace and peace, they deliver instead a new
set of problems and challenges of addiction and untreated mental health issues.
As a result, using drugs to manage the emotions has become two big problems.
At Adolescent Growth we provide a proficient team of licensed professionals that are
dedicated to helping an adolescent and their family navigate through this difficult time
and find recovery for their co-occurring problems.
We offer weekend family restoration workshops on Saturday and Sunday to each
teenager and their family so that we can equip them with the tools to break free of
unhealthy patterns of mental health issues and drug use.
