them with kids and adults alike!

5. Vocabulary – 10%
6. Spelling and Punctuation – 5%

Induvidual Winners
(20 winners per category)
A total of 20 winning stories will be chosen from each of the three categories. Each winning writer
will receive a one year (12 issues) subscription of YG Magazines worth $41 and a Rummikub Board
Game set!
Winner’s School
Each winning writer’s school will also receive a BIC Hamper worth $50, two complimentary copies of
YG 377 and two Rummikub Board Game sets!
Top Three Winners’ Schools
Three schools with the most no. of winning entries will receive and

2. Competition Guidelines
1. There is no limit to the no. of story submissions per school.
2. Each pupil is only allowed to submit one entry
3. All stories must be the pupils’ own work. But, basic assistance with spelling and grammar is
allowed
4. Stories must be original and not have been submitted in other writing competitions
5. Entries must be submitted through the school or teacher-in-charge
6. All stories are to be submitted in soft copy
7. Each entry must include a cover page with a story title, a word count at the end of the story,
the pupil’s full name, age, school, class, address, contact number, and email address
8. The closing date is 27 June and late entries will not be considered.
