Cultural implications of international business negotiations
Solution
Negotiation refers to the bargaining process through which both buyers and sellers resolve areas
of conflict and arrive at an agreement which serves as a win-win situation for both.
In international business negotiations, cultural values play a vital role. Cultural differences bring
new approaches in the negotiation process and variable expected outcome. A negotiation process
has three stages: pre-negotiation, actual negotiation, and post-stages. In international negotiation,
external influences like international, law, exchange rate, and economic growth plays a major
role. The negotiator must know the cultural, symbols, behaviors, and values of the other party. It
requires efficient management of negotiation across the cultures. It involves increased
complexity and challenge with language, laws, customs, and cultures.

Cultural implications of international business negotiations Solution Negotiation refers to the bargaining process through which both buyers and sellers resolve areas of conflict and arrive at an agreement which serves as a win-win situation for both. In international business negotiations, cultural values play a vital role. Cultural differences bring new approaches in the negotiation process and variable expected outcome. A negotiation process has three stages: pre-negotiation, actual negotiation, and post-stages. In international negotiation, external influences like international, law, exchange rate, and economic growth plays a major role. The negotiator must know the cultural, symbols, behaviors, and values of the other party. It requires efficient management of negotiation across the cultures. It involves increased complexity and challenge with language, laws, customs, and cultures.
