The project was to establish a hypotethical Organization for Pakistani Design Community, and to create a Campaign for the First ever Design Conference. NAQSH is a platform for Design Practitioners, Students & Academics to engage and interact within themselves and with professionals from all other Disciplines. Our 4 point agenda is Community Building, Sustainable Design, Cultural Exchange & Design Entrepreneurship.

22. Community Building
The design community needs to interact within themselves and
work with other disciplines.
Designers need to become engaged with socially relevant projects in
order to use their creative capital in the most effective way to
demonstrate the value of designers and design thinking.

23. SUSTAINABLE DESIGN
The design community needs address issues of Design
Sustainability. How to reduce environmental impact in their Design
process.
“Designers actually have more potential to slow environmental
degradation than economists, politicians and environmentalist.” Their
power is catalytic.” Alastair Faud-Luke

24. Cultural Exchange
The Design community must address the unique needs of many
different cultures without imposing values upon them.
Design fosters Cultural Understanding, because they design directly for
their audiences.

25. DESIGN ENTREPRENEURSHIP
The Design community must debate & discuss issues that affect
their audience.
How designers can convert Design into tangible products that will not
just sell but solve problems.

The Project will be to Revamp a Government
School, Peela School is a derogratory term for
Govt. Schools. We aim to turn this negative
stereotype into something examplary. The
theme chosen for this revamp is yellow, as the
colour for Children is yellow. It’s an open for all
project.

This will be located on two different parks.
Bagh Ibne Qasim at Seaview and Askari Park at
Gulshan. Each park will have a Skylight
projector with a computer terminal connected
to it. The users will be able to write their
messages onto the projection, enabling both

Research based design, designers will be
paired up with social researchers and will be
sent to Machar Colony to come up with
sustainable solutions for the colony's
inhabitants and will present their solutions at

The project will be to construct a Gazebo made
out of Sustainable material under the
Supervision of trained Designers and architects

• Caligraffiti
Graffiti artists from New York, London & Berlin
will team up with local Calligraphers, Cinema
Painters and wall Painters to produce a
combined work of art on a wall at Abdullah
Haroon, Saddar.

Graffiti wall produced by the Artists through a
