City Living Is Better Than Rural Living For many years until present in the USA, living in the
countryside was the first choice for people who got tired of the city life. These people wanted to live
in a beautiful and peaceful area and far away from the noise of the city. However, urban people who
are experiencing city life are not conscious of the problems they might face when they move to
rural areas. Therefore, in the United States of America, moving to live from a city to a rural area
makes urbanites less happy. To begin, in recent years, living in the countryside has caused many
issues for rural people or people who came for a short visit or to live permanently. Rural areas in
the United States are suffering from a lack of services such as safety, education, jobs and
hospitals. Numerous studies have been conducted in rural areas, which show that roads that
cause a number of accidents each year are not well maintained. In the article "Country Life
Riskier than City Living" it says that the percentage of people who are dying from accidents or
injuries while they are waiting for help is 20% more than in cities mainly because rural people do
not follow traffic rules and drive too fast. Many people died while they were waiting for the police
or ambulances. The article also indicates that children and old people who are under 14 and over
45 years are in more danger because of accidents involving

Country Better Than City
Country Life is better than City Life
City life and country life are very different to each other. The bustling city is alive with people and
activities, whereas the country is relaxed and quiet; but which is better? I strongly think that life in
the country beats the city by far because of the better environment and friendlier community. The
tranquil setting of the country is definitely superior compared to urban life, and is really appealing
to everyone.
Firstly, the environment in the countryside is much more relaxed and peaceful compared to the city.
The UK newspaper, The Cornish Guardian, quotes: "It's official: country living beats the hustle and
bustle of city life. People living in the South West countryside are...show more content...
Scientists have researched that parts of the brain that deal with stress and emotion don't handle
crowds well. A quote from Natural News says "A sound diet, exercise, plenty of sleep– and
escaping the concrete jungle of city life. All of these things contribute to a longer, healthier and less
stressful life, according to new research." The answer is simple – if you don't want to be so stressed
all the time, move to the country where there are no crowds. This also explains why people who
are born and raised in the city have much more anxiety and stress in their lives. In comparison,
being exposed to nature and away from hectic life in the city really helps. Country life is like a
community. Because there are fewer people in country towns, everyone cares and watches out
for each other, which helps reduce stress. Furthermore, country folk are generally not as busy, and
seem to be much more relaxed. They don't need to buy much, live simply and houses are much
cheaper, so they will have less to worry about. In the city, however, houses are expensive so
everyone works harder to pay off their loans. As a result, if you want to cut down on your anxiety,
pressure and stress, you will have a much better life if you leave the city and stay in the country.
In conclusion, I am undoubtedly convinced that country life is much better than city life. This is
simply because the country has a better environment, you can save money by

Comparing City Life with Countryside Life Essays
Way of life differs when people live in different places. No doubt that people lifestyle will be
influenced by the society and surrounding environment where they live in. City life and countryside
life are obviously very different in several ways, such as population, environment, and utilities. First,
city life and countryside life are different from population. In big cities there are many people who
live there, because job opportunities are abundant and the opportunity of better education. In fact,
people live in urban areas because they want to have good jobs to get more money, and one of the
best ways to achieve that is education. Nowadays, there are a lot of good universities and college

These absences of stressors can have a great effect on the overall quality of life and as one
researcher notes, " People who are living in rural and low density populated areas are less likely
to have mental health problems than those living in urban areas and may also less likely to be
exposed to depression cases or mental illness once they have recovered from these in more
densely populated areas (Combs, 2006). Third, city and countryside are different in term of
services. In big cities people are modern; they use much more modern technology, feel safe under
the protection of security, and many other services that make their live much easier such as
transportation and health care. First of all, people use modern technology such as computers, cell
phones and internet. Second of all, the government provides security in various ways to protect
people. Third of all, city transportations are developed well, people can travel easily, and they are
many ways of transportation they can choose to travel with, such as "cars, metros, ships, and
plans". Finally, big cities are not only big modern cities originally but also a face of a country, so
government always supports the best ways and medical services for people. For example, if a

Descriptive City Life
For many people around the world, the city life is a good life, if you're lucky enough to afford it.
Spending your day wandering in a daze, taking in the scene of the overbearing buildings staring
down at you as you walk past them. Maybe you decide to catch a ride on the cable car from
Market Street, and make your way over to Pier 39 to take a walk by the water. Maybe you'll
partake in watching the mass spectacles of the street performers begging for money because they can
barely afford the city rent. I don't blame them I mean, who can really? But that's the city for you. It is
full with diverse cultures, quaint little shops, grand sculptures, magnificent architecture...ahhh yes
the lovely architecture. If that's what you aspire to create, San Francisco is the place to be. It is an
absolute dream, a must go destination stop that you never want to leave, unless you actually live
there. It is often easy to forget the alluring nature of the city when you need to get anywhere by car.
Going to work is an absolute nightmare. I sit back watching the unavoidable scene unravel, like it
does everyday. I see the enraged faces of commuters on their way to the office, some are angry at
each other, others at the lifeless thing at the end of the road. There it is, an enormous building
towering over every person who walks under it. How is it that a giant piece of metal has the
capability of creating a whole lot of chaos? Construction causing delays, roads becoming more
narrow than the day

Comparing City Lifestyle with the Country Lifestyle
At the beginning of last century only one tenth of world's population lived in cities. Now a century
later more then half the population live in cities. People are inclined to live in the city for various
causes. These include work opportunities, entertainment and services. Nevertheless people in the city
complain about the stress of city life and talk enviously of country life. Both lives have their own
merits and demerits.
The lifestyle in the country is definitely quite different to life in the city. People's life in the country

Life in Small Town vs Life in a City Essay
Life in a small town vs. Life in a big city Life is a beautiful thing. Everyone has an interesting story
about their life. It is known that what is good for one person may not be good for another person.
For example, some people always prefer to live in a big city, and some people prefer to live in a small
town. Everyone has different points of view for that. A person has different thinking and reason to
choose a place for living. Jobs, education, family, lifestyle, personal development and some other
factors are responsible for choosing their place to live. Both living in a big city and living in small

Education is one of the reasons for living in a big town or city. Both cities and small towns have
good and bad schools. However, there are a lot of options in a big city. Most small towns have
one or two high schools. On the other hand, a big city has more schools than that. In a big city,
you have the option for your career making field. A Big city has universities, colleges and schools.
Because of that you can go to more sporting venues, like NBA Basketball games, NBA Football
games, as well as many minor league or major league sporting events. Small towns offer you local
high school sports. When you live in a big city, you have much greater access to a variety of
entertainment venues, and you are exposed to all sorts of different cultures. Cities also have all
sorts of music festivals, comedy festivals, and other events that happen on a fairly regular basis.
By contrast, small towns generally don't have nearly as much variety. Furthermore, Small towns
rarely have a formal public transportation system. People must need to buy their own vehicle or
depend on others for a ride. Owning your own vehicle is helpful. However, after that it will start to
cost for costly gas and insurance. A Big city has multiple forms of public transportation like taxis,
cabs, and a bus system. You can always use a public transportation for reasonable price. At the same
time, many people are attracted to small town life. If

Living in the City vs. Living in the Country
I grew up in the city and thought I would always be a resident of Winston–Salem, but relocating to
the country was probably one of the best decisions I have ever made. Living in either one of these
provides some similar things like a roof over my head and a place to rest. Both locations allow me
to have neighbors and access to public schools and there is a Food Lion and a Sheetz within a few
miles from them too. Some things that are perceived differently and living in the country change
these perceptions as opposed to living in the city. Depending on the location a simple door knock, the
sound of gunshots and the sound of sirens can have different implications.
A knock at the door can lead to entirely different people being at your doorstep whether you live in
the city or the country. In the city, strangers knocking...show more content...
In the city, these sounds typically mean that there has been an automobile accident and the police are
on the way. Sometimes they indicate the need for help from the police during a physical altercation
or that of a property crime. Not in the country though. Out there, the sounds of sirens indicate the
need for medical help from an ambulance, and most of the time these sounds are coming from the
trucks from the fire department because they are the first responders out in the country.
There are many similarities between living in the city and living in the country like having
neighbors and public schools. They both provide a place to rest with a roof over your head and
places to shop within a few miles. The differences in how specific events are perceived are like
opposites though. Depending on the location, a knock at the door, the sound of gunshots and the
sound of sirens can have varying differences and living in the country changes how these are

City Living versus Country Living Many families and individuals find themselves at some point
questioning the advantages of city living versus country living. It is nearly impossible to find a
good answer to this question. What is good for one person might not be good for another. Some
people enjoy the busy, hyper active metropolitan city where they can use all amenities and have
unlimited opportunities for work and leisure. At the same time, other people feel the urge to be
closer to Mother Nature, relaxation, beauty, and peace. They take pleasure in living in the calm and
peaceful environment of the countryside and spending their free time fishing, hiking, picking berries

On the positive side, urban areas do have better access to choices in healthcare if they suffer from
an illness. They have a number of specialists to choose from in their area. However, stress seems
to be present in every waking moment while living in the city. Whether you live next door to a
train track or on a busy street, it can be the most expensive component of life in the city and it takes
a toll on your body through time whereas rural areas are calm and peaceful most of the time. In the
country, education for kids K–12 is a lot better than in the cities. Families with small children tend to
like enrolling them in a smaller school because it's quiet and safe for their children, and the
teachers are with the same children every day and for years sometimes. However, sending them
to a bigger school can get them into the wrong kind of crowds and not get to know all their
teachers because of the big diversity there is. In the country the ratio of students to the teacher is
lower than the city whereas parents of children in the city have a number of choices available for
the education. Children and can often select from a long list of both public and private school
districts in urban living. Public schools are often filled with a lot of students and are packed into
small classrooms however that help the sports team, music, and other elective programs out. Where

Compare And Contrast City Life And Country Life
City life vs. Country life People say home is where the heart is, but what is home? For some,
home is a place where they can sit on the front porch and drink sweet tea, while others see home as
the place where they were raised. For me, home is where I have the most cherished memories. After
living in the city and the country, I have come to the conclusion that life in the country is where my
heart is. My lifestyle in the country consisted of similarities and differences than what it did in the

Another two differences between these places of living are job opportunities and cost of living.
There are more job opportunities in the city. People in the countryside have their farms. They grow
different vegetables, fruits and make money on it. For instance, In Mekong delta farmers make two

another difference between them is a cost of living. The cost of living in the city is higher than the

Living In A Small Town Essay
Living in a Small Town in a Big City
Everyone has a different opinion when they have to choose between live in a small town or a big
city. Some people think that living in a small town is peaceful because they feel much closer to the
nature, while the others choose to live in a big city because of its entertainment such as cinemas,
shopping centers, club, and concerts. Also, there are several similarities between small town and a big
city which is history, mission, vision, values, and goals to make their place become much better.
However, most people still do not know how to decide whether they want to live in a small town or a
big city and one of the ways to solve this is to compare them at several points.
Living in a big city can be very different from a small town. Since there are a lot of opportunities to
find a job in a big city, most people have their own variety of occupations. In the morning, people

block out the natural noises that people would hear in a small town. It is not only the noise that is
very different from both of them but also the air pollution. A small town has more fresh air and it
means people in a small town are breathing healthier air than people in a big city. Unlike small

Either City or Country, where should people leave? In a debate about city life versus country

city glamour? Balderdash, try big city cost.", the other said "The countryside? It must be nice if
you're retired ... or dead.". (Long, Heather, and Jessica Reed, 2013). To choose between both places
depends enough in the opinion, the necessity and the characteristics of each one, and what each
person enjoy the most. In an article published in 2015, a writer and newly qualified teacher Morris

cities people experienced more anxiety and pollution, and more epidemics and diseases, in

these places have many advantages; for example, while living in a metropolis people could enjoy its
cultural life, and the resident's diversity, residing in an urban area has the fascinating advantage to
enjoy its nature and space. (Hamm, 2013) The variety of opinion about it could not put one place

While surrounding suburbs can also provide modern style living, it often only includes a buzzer to
buzz in guests, a communal clubhouse and possibly a pool area.
One of the most stressful and overwhelming tasks for anyone can be their daily commute.
Extensive drive times to and from work can be a huge deterrent when considering suburban living.
City residents are often privy to the convenience of catching a cab, train or bus rather than having
to drive if they live, work and play in the city. Suburbanites however, can be faced with traffic, long
train rides, parking and the expense of gas if they drive. Of course this could all be the same for city
dwellers that "reverse commute" or live in the city and work in the suburbs. Those who live in the
city with essentially little to no commute time often avoid hours of grid lock traffic by utilizing
public transportation. Suburbanites on the other hand, that work in the suburbs have limited public
transportation options for inner–suburban commuting and usually have to drive. Suburbs do offer
some public transportation but it is not nearly as convenient, frequent or as accessible as in urban
areas. Generally speaking, city living provides more public transportation options that are more cost
effective and often quicker.
After cost and commute have been carefully considered, the next point for discussion is usually

Do you know differences between city life and village life? Also, you may think the city life is
most comfortable. You know, there are so many differences between them. That is to say, people
living in cities are different from people living in the city. There are five major differences between
city and village (people) lifestyle. I'm going to write social activities or opportunities, people's
behaviour, most common events, safety and getting good education.
First of all; there is big advantage of city life than the village life. There are more opportunities in
city. According to internet source (http://dedunu.wordpress.com/ ) the main difference "there are
more opportunities for people to progress in their lives. There are a lot of...show more content...
So street selling is the most common event. Kalafat (2006) states that " the assortment of the goods
that are sold in the streets has reached unbelievable dimensions. From the street vendors carts all
sorts of things from car fires to computers and even pianos are sold " (p:102) However, in city there
are a lot of big shop or store so people don't prefer street selling.
Finally, one of the most important advantages of village life is that it is much safer than the city.
There are fewer cars than in the city. Therefore, there is no noise of traffic and no accident. What's
more in village, there is no industrial and factorial pollution. That is to say air is clean and fresh
so people can grow fruit which is much healthier. Again the same web source gives evidence "the
village has clean air and the environment is very beautiful. The village has less noise and rush. So the
pollution is less. The village has not lot of vehicles. So roads are less dangerous for driving cycling.
They can get fresh vegetable and fresh fruits. "
To sum up, city has many advantages over village, because city offers modern life facilities are
easily available. I think, although the life in the city is more comfortable and modern than village, I
like village life than city. Because, i feel relaxed and safe so if I have to choose between village or
city life, I will say village

The Country And City Life
If given a choice between residing in the country verses in the city; how would you decide? Both
have their own set of advantages and disadvantages; positives and negatives. There are many
differences that could make a person's decision where to live very easy. Whether a person prefers
the country life or the city life, there is a choice we all have to make at some point in our lives. Let's
compare some of them.
Living in the country, individuals feel need to have their own personal space and away from other
people and closer to nature. City dwellers may feel that the convenience and closeness to goods
and services, as well as close proximity to numerous activities are better. Country living gives
people a slower pace of life. They may be further away from entertainment choices and resources,
but are willing to drive further for these services. The jobs in both of these areas vary as well.
Country dwellers may even choose to commute to the city to work, or maybe even take up a life
of farming or starting a small business just to live closer to home. On the other hand, people in the
city may be able to walk to work or school and not have to purchase a vehicle. Some of these
individuals may even chose public transportation to get around. Whereas, people living in rural
areas, would definitely need a form of transportation of their own as public transportation is not
available.
People in the city may earn a higher income; however, their cost of living may be substantially

City Life Essay

  • 1. City Living Is Better Than Rural Living Faisal Alraddadi Mr.Mouche Academic Skills 4 14 November 2014 City Living Is Better Than Rural Living For many years until present in the USA, living in the countryside was the first choice for people who got tired of the city life. These people wanted to live in a beautiful and peaceful area and far away from the noise of the city. However, urban people who are experiencing city life are not conscious of the problems they might face when they move to rural areas. Therefore, in the United States of America, moving to live from a city to a rural area makes urbanites less happy. To begin, in recent years, living in the countryside has caused many issues for rural people or people who came for a short visit or to live permanently. Rural areas in the United States are suffering from a lack of services such as safety, education, jobs and hospitals. Numerous studies have been conducted in rural areas, which show that roads that cause a number of accidents each year are not well maintained. In the article "Country Life Riskier than City Living" it says that the percentage of people who are dying from accidents or injuries while they are waiting for help is 20% more than in cities mainly because rural people do not follow traffic rules and drive too fast. Many people died while they were waiting for the police or ambulances. The article also indicates that children and old people who are under 14 and over 45 years are in more danger because of accidents involving Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Country Better Than City Country Life is better than City Life City life and country life are very different to each other. The bustling city is alive with people and activities, whereas the country is relaxed and quiet; but which is better? I strongly think that life in the country beats the city by far because of the better environment and friendlier community. The tranquil setting of the country is definitely superior compared to urban life, and is really appealing to everyone. Firstly, the environment in the countryside is much more relaxed and peaceful compared to the city. The UK newspaper, The Cornish Guardian, quotes: "It's official: country living beats the hustle and bustle of city life. People living in the South West countryside are...show more content... Scientists have researched that parts of the brain that deal with stress and emotion don't handle crowds well. A quote from Natural News says "A sound diet, exercise, plenty of sleep– and escaping the concrete jungle of city life. All of these things contribute to a longer, healthier and less stressful life, according to new research." The answer is simple – if you don't want to be so stressed all the time, move to the country where there are no crowds. This also explains why people who are born and raised in the city have much more anxiety and stress in their lives. In comparison, being exposed to nature and away from hectic life in the city really helps. Country life is like a community. Because there are fewer people in country towns, everyone cares and watches out for each other, which helps reduce stress. Furthermore, country folk are generally not as busy, and seem to be much more relaxed. They don't need to buy much, live simply and houses are much cheaper, so they will have less to worry about. In the city, however, houses are expensive so everyone works harder to pay off their loans. As a result, if you want to cut down on your anxiety, pressure and stress, you will have a much better life if you leave the city and stay in the country. In conclusion, I am undoubtedly convinced that country life is much better than city life. This is simply because the country has a better environment, you can save money by Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Comparing City Life with Countryside Life Essays Way of life differs when people live in different places. No doubt that people lifestyle will be influenced by the society and surrounding environment where they live in. City life and countryside life are obviously very different in several ways, such as population, environment, and utilities. First, city life and countryside life are different from population. In big cities there are many people who live there, because job opportunities are abundant and the opportunity of better education. In fact, people live in urban areas because they want to have good jobs to get more money, and one of the best ways to achieve that is education. Nowadays, there are a lot of good universities and college that are totally located in...show more content... These absences of stressors can have a great effect on the overall quality of life and as one researcher notes, " People who are living in rural and low density populated areas are less likely to have mental health problems than those living in urban areas and may also less likely to be exposed to depression cases or mental illness once they have recovered from these in more densely populated areas (Combs, 2006). Third, city and countryside are different in term of services. In big cities people are modern; they use much more modern technology, feel safe under the protection of security, and many other services that make their live much easier such as transportation and health care. First of all, people use modern technology such as computers, cell phones and internet. Second of all, the government provides security in various ways to protect people. Third of all, city transportations are developed well, people can travel easily, and they are many ways of transportation they can choose to travel with, such as "cars, metros, ships, and plans". Finally, big cities are not only big modern cities originally but also a face of a country, so government always supports the best ways and medical services for people. • 4. Descriptive City Life For many people around the world, the city life is a good life, if you're lucky enough to afford it. Spending your day wandering in a daze, taking in the scene of the overbearing buildings staring down at you as you walk past them. Maybe you decide to catch a ride on the cable car from Market Street, and make your way over to Pier 39 to take a walk by the water. Maybe you'll partake in watching the mass spectacles of the street performers begging for money because they can barely afford the city rent. I don't blame them I mean, who can really? But that's the city for you. It is full with diverse cultures, quaint little shops, grand sculptures, magnificent architecture...ahhh yes the lovely architecture. If that's what you aspire to create, San Francisco is the place to be. It is an absolute dream, a must go destination stop that you never want to leave, unless you actually live there. It is often easy to forget the alluring nature of the city when you need to get anywhere by car. Going to work is an absolute nightmare. I sit back watching the unavoidable scene unravel, like it does everyday. I see the enraged faces of commuters on their way to the office, some are angry at each other, others at the lifeless thing at the end of the road. There it is, an enormous building towering over every person who walks under it. How is it that a giant piece of metal has the capability of creating a whole lot of chaos? Construction causing delays, roads becoming more narrow than the day Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Now a century later more then half the population live in cities. People are inclined to live in the city for various causes. These include work opportunities, entertainment and services. Nevertheless people in the city complain about the stress of city life and talk enviously of country life. Both lives have their own merits and demerits. The lifestyle in the country is definitely quite different to life in the city. People's life in the country is centred on one thing, a pub. In the poem Kominos is given a very unfriendly Welcome by a resident of the town. To him/her kominos is a stranger and knowing nothing about him, automatically become suspicious. Due to their limited exposure to different types of people they believe Kominos to be a truckie or a bikie. Only when he didn't fit into either category they thought ask him who he is. Kominos revealed he is a poet. In 'lord of the veranda', Ingram uses the veranda as a symbol for the unchanging nature and simpleness of traditional country life. Ingram Unlike the country, city life is a more sophisticated way of living. The fashionable city people are slaves to their lifestyle. They cannot act relaxed or casual as they are to busy trying to be stylish. This is big issue among the younger generation Self image is the major anxiety among adolescence. It is known that what is good for one person may not be good for another person. For example, some people always prefer to live in a big city, and some people prefer to live in a small town. Everyone has different points of view for that. A person has different thinking and reason to choose a place for living. Education is one of the reasons for living in a big town or city. Both cities and small towns have good and bad schools. However, there are a lot of options in a big city. Most small towns have one or two high schools. On the other hand, a big city has more schools than that. In a big city, you have the option for your career making field. A Big city has universities, colleges and schools. Because of that you can go to more sporting venues, like NBA Basketball games, NBA Football games, as well as many minor league or major league sporting events. Small towns offer you local high school sports. When you live in a big city, you have much greater access to a variety of entertainment venues, and you are exposed to all sorts of different cultures. Cities also have all sorts of music festivals, comedy festivals, and other events that happen on a fairly regular basis. By contrast, small towns generally don't have nearly as much variety. Furthermore, Small towns rarely have a formal public transportation system. People must need to buy their own vehicle or depend on others for a ride. Owning your own vehicle is helpful. However, after that it will start to cost for costly gas and insurance. A Big city has multiple forms of public transportation like taxis, cabs, and a bus system. You can always use a public transportation for reasonable price. At the same time, many people are attracted to small town life. If Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. City Vs Country Living in the City vs. Living in the Country I grew up in the city and thought I would always be a resident of Winston–Salem, but relocating to the country was probably one of the best decisions I have ever made. Living in either one of these provides some similar things like a roof over my head and a place to rest. Both locations allow me to have neighbors and access to public schools and there is a Food Lion and a Sheetz within a few miles from them too. Some things that are perceived differently and living in the country change these perceptions as opposed to living in the city. In the city, these sounds typically mean that there has been an automobile accident and the police are on the way. Sometimes they indicate the need for help from the police during a physical altercation or that of a property crime. Not in the country though. Out there, the sounds of sirens indicate the need for medical help from an ambulance, and most of the time these sounds are coming from the trucks from the fire department because they are the first responders out in the country. There are many similarities between living in the city and living in the country like having neighbors and public schools. They both provide a place to rest with a roof over your head and places to shop within a few miles. The differences in how specific events are perceived are like opposites though. • 8. City Living vs Country Living Essay example City Living versus Country Living Many families and individuals find themselves at some point questioning the advantages of city living versus country living. It is nearly impossible to find a good answer to this question. What is good for one person might not be good for another. Some people enjoy the busy, hyper active metropolitan city where they can use all amenities and have unlimited opportunities for work and leisure. At the same time, other people feel the urge to be closer to Mother Nature, relaxation, beauty, and peace. They take pleasure in living in the calm and peaceful environment of the countryside and spending their free time fishing, hiking, picking berries in the woods, or playing in the creek. They have a number of specialists to choose from in their area. However, stress seems to be present in every waking moment while living in the city. Whether you live next door to a train track or on a busy street, it can be the most expensive component of life in the city and it takes a toll on your body through time whereas rural areas are calm and peaceful most of the time. In the country, education for kids K–12 is a lot better than in the cities. Families with small children tend to like enrolling them in a smaller school because it's quiet and safe for their children, and the teachers are with the same children every day and for years sometimes. However, sending them to a bigger school can get them into the wrong kind of crowds and not get to know all their teachers because of the big diversity there is. In the country the ratio of students to the teacher is lower than the city whereas parents of children in the city have a number of choices available for the education. Children and can often select from a long list of both public and private school districts in urban living. For some, home is a place where they can sit on the front porch and drink sweet tea, while others see home as the place where they were raised. For me, home is where I have the most cherished memories. After living in the city and the country, I have come to the conclusion that life in the country is where my heart is. My lifestyle in the country consisted of similarities and differences than what it did in the city. My family and I didn't realize the advantages we had living on a significant amount of land until we moved to the city. In our new home, when my friends would come over, we never ventured out of the house like what we did in the country. Our yard was diminutive and if we did go outside, we had to be in the front yard and watch out for traffic. • 10. Difference Between City Life & Country Life Essay Born and raised in the city, I often wonder how different my life would be had I been raised in the country. Imagine having to choose to reside in one place for the rest of your life. Which would you opt for? Some people would argue that the hyperactive lifestyle that a big city has to offer has more benefits. However, others would contend that the calm and peaceful environment of the countryside is much more rewarding. Several people move from the city to a farm to get away from the hustle and bustle. Likewise, farmers have traded in their tractors and animals to live a fast paced city life. Of course, not all large cities are the same nor are all of the places in the country identical. Realizing this, ten years ago, I decided...show more content... People who live in the city are like bees. They are precipitous and bustling. Because a vast majority of Americans pack themselves into our major cities, there are a lot more activities in the city: shopping malls and restaurants galore, thrift stores, libraries, and concert venues, just to name a few. Obviously, to get the most out of city life, you need to be able to afford it. Living in a large city is often more expensive and it is not always easy to afford to do everything that is available. But, because there is always something to do in the city, traffic can be grueling. Higher traffic volumes lead to noise and air pollution as well as an irate and eminently tense population. Crowds and traffic stimulates an angry, less friendly, persona. As a result of greater demand of city dwellers, housing is more expensive. Not only is housing more costly, but the space between neighbors is minimal in the city. I have seen houses in the city so close together that it looks like you could shake hands with your neighbor through the bedroom windows. You may think that having closer neighbors may have some benefits, but most city dwellers don't even know their neighbor's name. Meanwhile, life in the country differs greatly from life in the city. Country nights are quiet and the expansive sky bounteous with brilliant stars that seem brighter than those in the city. Another two differences between these places of living are job opportunities and cost of living. There are more job opportunities in the city. People in the countryside have their farms. They grow different vegetables, fruits and make money on it. For instance, In Mekong delta farmers make two crops a year. They are Summer–Autumn yield and Winter–Spring yield ("What's the difference", n.d.). Between these seasons of crop there is a distance. They do not do anything during this period. In contrast, most people move to the city in order to find a job because it is easier there. Also another difference between them is a cost of living. The cost of living in the city is higher than the countryside, for instance goods are more expensive there ("Rural area", n.d.). In the country, most people have the sufficient economy. They can grow plants and breed animals so expenditures are lower and they can live on their own. The country life is simple and comfortable. • 15. Either City or Country, where should people leave? In a debate about city life versus country live, Heather Long and Jessica Reed have both different opinion about it. While one says, "Big city glamour? Balderdash, try big city cost.", the other said "The countryside? It must be nice if you're retired ... or dead.". (Long, Heather, and Jessica Reed, 2013). To choose between both places depends enough in the opinion, the necessity and the characteristics of each one, and what each person enjoy the most. In an article published in 2015, a writer and newly qualified teacher Morris M., surprised us answering this question with another and very pessimist point of view; he answered "it's neither. Both the city and the country are conspiring to kill you in the most terrifying ways possible". For him, both places have many disadvantages to move there; while for Morris M. in cities people experienced more anxiety and pollution, and more epidemics and diseases, in countries people typically suffer higher levels of poverty and obesity and higher suicide rates. (Morris, 2015). Fortunately, not everything is bad neither in cities nor countries. Living in one of these places have many advantages; for example, while living in a metropolis people could enjoy its cultural life, and the resident's diversity, residing in an urban area has the fascinating advantage to enjoy its nature and space. (Hamm, 2013) The variety of opinion about it could not put one place over the other one, so not just Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Similarities Between City Life And Country Life Assadullah Alikhil 27957 Eng–110 City Life versus Country Life Whether city is better than the countryside or visa–versa is an argumentative question. It depends upon the life situation of people whether they want to live and relax in a calm place, or they want to be among a big society. Generally, elders prefer country life while youths prefer to live in cities. Elders want a comfortable and simple life, whereas, youths want a professional life. Some similarities that are shared between them are the following: the same religion, government laws, customs, and low with high–level families. • 17. City Life vs. Country Life City Life Versus Country Life Born and raised a city boy, I often wonder how different my life would be had I been raised in the country. Realizing...show more content... The clean, evening air is permeated with the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 18. City or Suburban Life? Essay Given the opportunity to live in a major bustling metropolis or in a surrounding nestled suburb what would you choose? Surprisingly, a number of people contend with this decision everyday. Some relocate because of employment opportunities, warmer weather, to be closer to family or simply for a change of scenery. The reasons for moving are as abundant as the options when considering city or suburban life. When considering either choice, one may be attracted to the luxurious high rises and breathtaking views of the city or the sprawling greenery and family oriented atmosphere of the suburbs. While surrounding suburbs can also provide modern style living, it often only includes a buzzer to buzz in guests, a communal clubhouse and possibly a pool area. One of the most stressful and overwhelming tasks for anyone can be their daily commute. Extensive drive times to and from work can be a huge deterrent when considering suburban living. City residents are often privy to the convenience of catching a cab, train or bus rather than having to drive if they live, work and play in the city. Suburbanites however, can be faced with traffic, long train rides, parking and the expense of gas if they drive. Of course this could all be the same for city dwellers that "reverse commute" or live in the city and work in the suburbs. Those who live in the city with essentially little to no commute time often avoid hours of grid lock traffic by utilizing public transportation. Suburbanites on the other hand, that work in the suburbs have limited public transportation options for inner–suburban commuting and usually have to drive. Suburbs do offer some public transportation but it is not nearly as convenient, frequent or as accessible as in urban areas. Generally speaking, city living provides more public transportation options that are more cost effective and often quicker. After cost and commute have been carefully considered, the next point for discussion is usually Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Whether a person prefers the country life or the city life, there is a choice we all have to make at some point in our lives. Let's compare some of them. Living in the country, individuals feel need to have their own personal space and away from other people and closer to nature. City dwellers may feel that the convenience and closeness to goods and services, as well as close proximity to numerous activities are better. Country living gives people a slower pace of life. They may be further away from entertainment choices and resources, but are willing to drive further for these services. The jobs in both of these areas vary as well. Country dwellers may even choose to commute to the city to work, or maybe even take up a life of farming or starting a small business just to live closer to home. On the other hand, people in the city may be able to walk to work or school and not have to purchase a vehicle. Some of these individuals may even chose public transportation to get around. Whereas, people living in rural areas, would definitely need a form of transportation of their own as public transportation is not available.
