City Living Is Better Than Rural Living For many years until present in the USA, living in the
countryside was the first choice for people who got tired of the city life. These people wanted to live
in a beautiful and peaceful area and far away from the noise of the city. However, urban people who
are experiencing city life are not conscious of the problems they might face when they move to
rural areas. Therefore, in the United States of America, moving to live from a city to a rural area
makes urbanites less happy. To begin, in recent years, living in the countryside has caused many
issues for rural people or people who came for a short visit or to live permanently. Rural areas in
the United States are suffering from a lack of services such as safety, education, jobs and
hospitals. Numerous studies have been conducted in rural areas, which show that roads that
cause a number of accidents each year are not well maintained. In the article "Country Life
Riskier than City Living" it says that the percentage of people who are dying from accidents or
injuries while they are waiting for help is 20% more than in cities mainly because rural people do
not follow traffic rules and drive too fast. Many people died while they were waiting for the police

City life and country life are very different to each other. The bustling city is alive with people and
activities, whereas the country is relaxed and quiet; but which is better? I strongly think that life in
the country beats the city by far because of the better environment and friendlier community. The

For many people around the world, the city life is a good life, if you're lucky enough to afford it.
Spending your day wandering in a daze, taking in the scene of the overbearing buildings staring

I grew up in the city and thought I would always be a resident of Winston–Salem, but relocating to
the country was probably one of the best decisions I have ever made. Living in either one of these
provides some similar things like a roof over my head and a place to rest. Both locations allow me

Although living in the city has many advantages there are some disadvantages too, the cost of the
living is very high in the city, the city is always noisy, no fresh air and pure water. So it is hard to

One of the most stressful and overwhelming tasks for anyone can be their daily commute.
Extensive drive times to and from work can be a huge deterrent when considering suburban living.
City residents are often privy to the convenience of catching a cab, train or bus rather than having
to drive if they live, work and play in the city. Suburbanites however, can be faced with traffic, long
train rides, parking and the expense of gas if they drive. Of course this could all be the same for city
dwellers that "reverse commute" or live in the city and work in the suburbs. Those who live in the
city with essentially little to no commute time often avoid hours of grid lock traffic by utilizing
public transportation. Suburbanites on the other hand, that work in the suburbs have limited public
transportation options for inner–suburban commuting and usually have to drive. Suburbs do offer
some public transportation but it is not nearly as convenient, frequent or as accessible as in urban
areas. Generally speaking, city living provides more public transportation options that are more cost
effective and often quicker.
After cost and commute have been carefully considered, the next point for discussion is usually

most comfortable. You know, there are so many differences between them. That is to say, people
living in cities are different from people living in the city. There are five major differences between

So street selling is the most common event. Kalafat (2006) states that " the assortment of the goods
that are sold in the streets has reached unbelievable dimensions. From the street vendors carts all
sorts of things from car fires to computers and even pianos are sold " (p:102) However, in city there
are a lot of big shop or store so people don't prefer street selling.
Finally, one of the most important advantages of village life is that it is much safer than the city.
There are fewer cars than in the city. Therefore, there is no noise of traffic and no accident. What's
more in village, there is no industrial and factorial pollution. That is to say air is clean and fresh
so people can grow fruit which is much healthier. Again the same web source gives evidence "the
village has clean air and the environment is very beautiful. The village has less noise and rush. So the
pollution is less. The village has not lot of vehicles. So roads are less dangerous for driving cycling.

To sum up, city has many advantages over village, because city offers modern life facilities are
easily available. I think, although the life in the city is more comfortable and modern than village, I
like village life than city. Because, i feel relaxed and safe so if I have to choose between village or
city life, I will say village

The Country And City Life
If given a choice between residing in the country verses in the city; how would you decide? Both
have their own set of advantages and disadvantages; positives and negatives. There are many
differences that could make a person's decision where to live very easy. Whether a person prefers
the country life or the city life, there is a choice we all have to make at some point in our lives. Let's
compare some of them.
Living in the country, individuals feel need to have their own personal space and away from other
people and closer to nature. City dwellers may feel that the convenience and closeness to goods
and services, as well as close proximity to numerous activities are better. Country living gives
people a slower pace of life. They may be further away from entertainment choices and resources,
but are willing to drive further for these services. The jobs in both of these areas vary as well.
Country dwellers may even choose to commute to the city to work, or maybe even take up a life
of farming or starting a small business just to live closer to home. On the other hand, people in the
city may be able to walk to work or school and not have to purchase a vehicle. Some of these
individuals may even chose public transportation to get around. Whereas, people living in rural
areas, would definitely need a form of transportation of their own as public transportation is not
available.
People in the city may earn a higher income; however, their cost of living may be substantially
