• Their website consisted of: Pictures and desktop images, trailers, teaser clips, links to like
the film on Facebook or follow their Twitter, a film synopsis, meet the director.
• They also made an intellectually challenging game known as Mind Crime, and allowed
audience to create their own poster.
• Downloadable app where if you could go to one of the specific areas and scan a code,
you’d unlock more teaser clips and film content.
• Standard marketing followed: Trailer and poster.
6. TECHNOLOGY.
• Production: CGI (Computer Generated Images), some of Inception was filmed in iMAX
because of Christopher Nolan’s passion for the iMAX cameras. There were also uses of a
greenscreen to create landscapes.
• Distribution: They created a Mine Crime game, the Scavenger app for iPhones and
Android, and the website.
• Exhibition: Most technology mentioned had already been used here too, like 3D showings.
