2. There are many British US studio backed
films, such as 12 years a slave and Gravity,
both Oscar nominated and winning films of
this year.
The film we have chosen to look at is one of
the most globally well known franchises
which has been a huge success; Harry Potter
and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.
3. The Harry Potter series was originally just a book
series, by JK Rowling, so when Warner Brothers
bought copy writes of the book, they already
had an existing audience.
The child actors become more known with each
film release, so by 2010 (the year The Deathly
Hallows Part 1 was released) Daniel Radcliffe,
Emma Watson and Rupert Grint were known
world wide.
4. David Yates directed both Part 1 and 2 back to
back from the 9th of February 2009 to the 12th
June 2010, and the budget for Part 1 alone was
a total of £150,000,000.
