2. National minority
• National minority is a demographic definition. It
refers to a group of foreign-borns, living not in
their native country.
•According to the Lithuanian’s Department of
Statistics there are more than 10%
non-lithuanian nationality inhabitants.

• Despite the fact that the biggest number of
minorities in Lithuania consists of Russian
and Poles, it seems that problems we’re
facing applies only on Lithuanian - Polish
partnership.
• Media is one of the biggest factors to create
stereotypes of national minorities.

comments in their surrounding;
• Schools also should prevent students from
all those negative effects by teaching them
about stereotypes;

media. We have to learn not to believe
everything it gives;
• We have to have our opinion, which doesn’t
depend on what newspapers say;

We create media and media creates us. Media
does not say what to think, it offers us what to think
about.
