2. How was Amicalola falls formed?
• It was formed by tectonic plates combining
and forming a new mountain. Also, water
running through in rivers caused weathering
and erosion.
3. Was Amicalola falls constructively
formed or deconstructively formed?
• This is a rather tricky question. It actually is
both, but mostly constructively formed. It is
constructively formed by the tectonic plates
making the new mountain. It is also
deconsructively formed by humans making
parking lots, parks, trails, the nature center,
and of course stairs.
4. How old is Amicalola falls?
• Nobody really knows, but scientists think it is
around 300 to 400 million years old.
5. What can you do here?
• There are a lot of things you can do here. You
can either go hiking or play at the park. It
would be a great field trip because we can
explore the woods and learn about the
wildlife that lives there in the nature center.
