We have sensory receptors that capture stimuli from our environment and send this information to our nervous system. Our five main senses - sight, hearing, taste, smell, and touch - each have dedicated sensory receptors that allow us to experience different stimuli through our eyes, ears, tongue, nose, and skin. We can use our senses to experiment with our surroundings.
