lesson about hydrostatic
       pressure.

Density
Pressure is force that acting on an object divided
by its area.
Mathematically:
                 P= Pressure ( N/m2 = Pascal)
         F
    P            F= Force (N)
         A       A= Surface Area (m2)
Hydrostatic pressure is the pressure exerted by a fluid at
equilibrium due to the force of gravity.
Hydrostatic pressure can be calculated with the
formula:


Where:
Ph = Hydrostatic pressure (Pa or N/m2)
ρ = Density of liquid (kg/m3 )
g = earth’s gravity (m/s2)
h = Depth (m)
If the container is open so there is atmosphere pressure from
the air to the surface of liquid…




The pressure become:          P0 = Atmospheric pressure (1 atm = 76 cmHg =
                                   1.013 x 105 Pa)
   P = P0 + Ph = P0 + ρgh
A tube with height 50 cm filled with water. If the
density of the water 1 gr/cm3 and the gravitational
force is 10 m/s2 then the hydrostatic pressure in the
bottom of the tube is….

density of the oil?
