• We will practice fractions using flash cards.
• We will complete a real world math
problem.
• We will get into small groups to discuss
questions from the homework
 rewriting whole numbers as improper fractions
 renaming mixed numbers and improper
fractions
• We will work through several homework
problems together.
• We will practice renaming mixed numbers
as improper fractions and vice versa.

3. Real World Math Problem -
Anisa
• Yasmin wanted to bake cookies for her
son’s birthday.
• She made 16 cookies, and all of them
had chocolate chips in them.
 Write a fraction to show how many
cookies had chocolate chips.

4. Small Group - HW discussion
• Discuss:
 rewriting whole numbers as improper
fractions
 renaming mixed numbers and improper
fractions

5. We will work through several
homework problems together.
