Review
Understand the use of a test plan
Use feedback to improve work
 The review should initially focus on what you made explaining
what you were asked to do by your client and how you did it.
 You should then explain what you
did to make your game suitable for:
 Males and Females
 9 to 11 Year Olds
 The review section should finish with
honest and critical responses to:
 What went well?
 What didn’t go well?

Testing
Understand the use of a test plan
Use feedback to improve work
 It is very important that your test plan checks that your game
meets the original requirements of the client brief.
 The text plan must include details on
what you expect to happen when
you test each item and what actually
happens in each case.
 The testing should also identify any
improvements that you can make
with re-tests must be carried out on
anything that didn’t work.

Improvements
Understand the use of a test plan
Use feedback to improve work
 The final section of your review links together the two previous
ones by identifying improvements that could be made.
 The first part should state what you
could improve immediately to make
the game better with an explanation
of how it would make it better.
 The second part should say what you
would change in future again saying
how each would improve the game.
 Your test plan and review may both
suggest improvements for this part.

Marking
 The difference between grade boundaries in this part of the
unit comes down to your understanding of the requirements:
Reasonable Understanding
Mostly tested, appropriate improvements
Merit
5-7 Marks
Full Understanding
Fully tested, justified improvements
Distinction
8-9 Marks
Limited Understanding
Partially tested, some improvements
Pass
1-4 Marks

Your Task
Understand the use of a test plan
Use feedback to improve work
 Use the feedback given on your R092 Game Design document to
improve the review section including:
 Game Review
 Target Audience
 Strengths and Weaknesses
 Ensure your test plan covers all of the
requirements of the client brief and
re-tests anything that was wrong.
 Suggest suitable and relevant areas to
improve your game and justify your
choices fully.
