Set goals –
as with any type of marketing campaign, the more defined your
goals, the better able you are to reach them. What are you
trying to accomplish? Brand awareness? Increased purchases?
Think about your specific goals as well as which social media
sites may be best suited to help achieve those goals.
Determine metrics –
think in terms of matching metrics to your goals. What are you
trying to accomplish and what measurement tools will help you
achieve your goals? Metrics such as volume, reach, clicks and
conversions are instrumental in helping you continually monitor
the effectiveness of specific and overall campaign goals.
Monitor –
once you have determined your metrics, you want to monitor
those metrics to determine how well your campaign is working.
Many social media sites like Facebook and Twitter have
drastically improved their analytics to help you better monitor
your marketing campaigns.
The world of online marketing

With billions of consumers actively engaging on myriad social
