Was an Ecuadorian lawyer

politician,

Republic

Ecuador
from August 10, 1979 until
May 24, 1981. He led the

and military dictatorships.
Jaime
Roldós
ruled
the
country for a year, nine months and fourteen days.
The young president enjoyed great sympathy for his

He was elected by an alliance between the populist
Concentration of Popular Forces and the Popular
Christian Democratic Party Democracy. Won the runoff
