2. Proper stance for a bump pass
Feet should be shoulder width apart with
right foot slightly in front of left
Knees bent
Back straight and angled out over the knees
Shoulders rolled forward with arms out
straight
3. Proper Form when passing
Hands should be clasped properly (without
fingers crossing)
Knees should still be bent and back should
be straight
Arms should be in a platform
When passing the legs should lift up and
there should be minimal arm swing
4. Practice Session #1
Cognitive Stage
As a learner:
Many errors
Inconsistent with her passes and form
Not able to figure out what she was doing
wrong
Didn’t have much understanding of the
movement
5. As a practitioner
I told her what she was doing right and
wrong as often as I could through
constructive feedback
I would use demonstrations to show her
after every other pass what she needed to
work on
6. End of Practice Session
#1 &Practice Session #2
Associative Stage
As a learner
Fewer Errors
She was able to correct herself when she made mistakes and knew
what she was doing wrong
Able to add on an additional skill with the bump pass
She was beginning to refine the movement she was working on
instead of figuring out how to do it
I started giving less feedback.
7. As a practitioner
I started to give feedback less often. Found
that it was easier to let her go a few trials
and then give feedback.
Able to let her figure out what she was
doing wrong and then help her when needed
