HOMOEOPATHY GENERAL
PATHOLOGY
P CHANIKYA
PATHOLOGY , PHYSIOLOGY.
PATHOLOGY – Abnormal conditions of living human
beings .
PHYSIOLOGY- Normal functions of body.
PATHOLOGY
1)GENERAL PATHOLOGY.- Deals with the Principles, theory,
explanation & classification of facts.
2)SPECIAL ( Medical , Surgical) .
• MEDICAL –Dealing with the internal Morbid
Conditions.
• SURGICAL - Dealing with the External conditions.
• GENERAL PATHOLOGY bears Same relation to the
SPECIAL PATHOLOGY
• That PHILOSOPHY bears to the SPECIAL SCIENCES
HOMOEOPATHY GENERAL
PATHOLOGY
Homoeopathic point of view It
is considered with the CHRONIC
DISEASES.
MODERN MEDICINE
Modern science in General and Medical science in
particular , Regards the Fact of the universe From
MATERIALISTIC STANDPOINT – matter, motion.
Homoeopathy
In homoeopathy phylosoPhy life and mind are the
fudamental verities of universe.
VITALISTIC SUBSTANTIALISTIC Stand point. – all things
and forces , including life and mind
HAHNEMANN PATHOLOGY
• That Disease is always a primarly a morbid Dynamical or
the functional disturbace in the vital principle.
• Hahnemann reduce all phenomena of chronic disease
According to their cause four fundamental classes. ( As
like Cuvier In Zoology).
1. occupational or drug disease
2. Psora
3. Syphilis
4. Sycosis
RELATION OF BACTERIOLOGY TO HOMOEOPATHY
Living micro-organisms are the cause of infectious diseases
suchas cholera & venereal diseases & Dominant school of
medicine failed to understand that cure is always .
The Great practical value of the Hahnemann Theory Of the
chronic Disease Has never been fully appreciate because It
has been never Fully understood.
Hahnemann was so far ahead Of his time that he teaching.
• Hahnemann said that most of the morbid conditions & diseases are
caused by psora In the Organon.
• Hahnemann introduced theconcept of “miasms” as “infectious
principles” underlying chronic disease.
• Hahnemann associatedeach miasm with specific diseases, and thought
that initial exposure to miasms causes local symptoms, such as skin or
venereal diseases.
• Hahnemann was the first to perceive & teach the parasitical nature of
infectious orcontagiousdiseases, including syphilis, gonorrhoea,
leprosy,cholera, TB .
• He held that all the chronic diseases are derived from three
primary, infectious, parasitic sources also said thatEach infectious
diseases has Its own variety.
• Hahnemann defines Miasam as the Obnoxious Material.
According to the Stuart Close
Miasma=infectious, contagious, excessively minute.
1. Drug & occupational diseases
2. Infectious venereal diseases
3. All other natural chronic diseases.
Excluding class I and class II , He found that All the diseases in class
III were related , Directly or indirectl and could be traced To one
primary cause.
DOCTRINE OF LATENCY
Hahnemann taught that Psora, like syphilis, sycosis may
remain latent for the long period “ Until the circumstances
awakens the disease slumbering within and thus develop
the germs.
• The Doctrine of Latency is Strenuously oppsed for a long
time But now endorsed & taught by the Highest
authorities in regards to SYPHILIS, GONORRHEA,
TUBERCULOSIS.
• Hahnemann Doctrine of Latency was therefore confirmed
by the modern Research In regards to the Tuberculosis As
it has long been of syphilis and for a shoter period of the
Gonorrhea.
METASTATIS
• Metastasis as per modern terms is Metastasis is a
pathogenic agent’s spread from an initial or primary site
to adifferent or secondary site within the host’s body.
• The term is typically used when referring to metastasis by
a cancerous tumor .
• But in terms of Homoeopathy its Embolism, is the
impaction of some parts of the vascular system of any
undissolved material brought thereby the blood current.
The material transported in this method is an embolus
1. TUMOUR CELLS ( Embolus composed of living cells)
2. ANIMAL & VEGETATIVE PARASITES ( Bacteria of
various kinds, as well as the protozoan, embryo of the
large Animal parasite may transported by the
circulation and act as emboli).
THE IDENTITY OF THE PSORA AND TUBERCULOSIS
Hahnemann mentions
PSORA
e.g. Continualor spasmodic asthma, pleurisy with
orwithout collections of pus in the chest, suffocative
bronchitis. Among know Tubercular chest and lung disease
due to the Psora.
TUBERCULAR ORIGIN
e.g. Diabetes & nephritis, hydrocephalus,cerebral &
cerebro-spinal meningitis, cataract, ophthalmia,tonsillitis,
gastric problems. Some of which are now knownother are
Tubercular in origin.
THE CONCEPT OF THE TOXICOLOGY OF DISEASE
Toxicology basically means a scientific discipline,
overlapping with biology, chemistry, pharmacology, and
medicine, that involves the study of the adverse effects of
chemical substances on living organisms.
Pathologist agree that all pathogenic microorganisms show
effect in the living beings by mean of specific poisons which
secret while living Or After death.
• DISEASE is a morbid dynamical disturbance of the
vital force which is caused by some MORBIFIC
AGENT actually or relatively external to the
organism.
• Diseases arising from physical injuiry, mechanical
violence, chemicalagents, mental or physical
trauma which causes formation oftoxins in the
body.
• All curative treatment is antidotal treatment &Cure
is accomplished by the use of agents which has the
power to antidote or neutralize the poisons &
remove their effects.
Antidote are divided into 3 classes
1.Physiological orDynamic
2. Chemical – Act on poison themselves rather than against
their effects.
3.Mechanical –Merely means of the accomplishing physical
expulsion of the poison substance from the body after
that physiologicalantidote given.
Physiological antidote are merely “ Remedies employe to
combat the symptoms born after effects, and Neutralize
bthe effects of the poison after absorption.
SCIENCE OF THERAPEUTICS
As a science exemplied in the homoeopathy rests upon the 2 SERIES OF
PHENOMENA.
1. PHENOMENA Of the DISEASE
2. PHENOMENA of the DRUG or Agent used to treat.
This both are connected by the general law.
Systematizedknowledge of PHENOMENA Of the DISEASE– SCIENCE OF
PATHOLOGY.
Systematized knowledge of PHENOMENA of the DRUG – SCIENCE OF
PHARMACOLOGY.
Systematized knowledge of Law, principles methods – CONNECT THE TWO
SCIENCE CONSTITUENTS.
A true therapeutics stands as the connecting link between the Pathology &
Pharmacology
CONCLUSION
Stuart Close concludes its by saying Similia Principle is the onlyway
to attain cure in an individual.
He says like Diseases always bear the symptomatic likeness of drugs,
or poisons &Similarity of symptoms is the natural guide to the
curative remedy & to the true diagnosis of the disease
He also speaks about Drug Diseases and states that Every proving is
the clinical record of an artificial disease produced by some drugs &
Drugs also cause some disease further tells about the Overdosing &
too frequent changing of remedies in homoeopathic often leads to
the Confusion of the prescriber & the damage of the patient
suggest the young Homoeopaths to Stop the use of drugs &antidote
them With High potency of a drug is sometimes the best antidote for
the effects of the crude drug.
