1 *BUFFALO TOURS TRAVEL BROCHURE 2010 * CLASSIC MALAYSIA
2. FROM THE BUFFALO TOURS TEAM
Despite the economic situation of 2009 and the challenges we have all faced over the last year, there have been many positives, with Buffalo Tours
continuing to provide world class, top quality travel services to over 30,000 passengers. In fact, Buffalo Tours even took the bold move of continuing
to invest and expand our capacities and competencies, introducing our own operations in Cambodia and Laos and adding the destination of Thailand
to the Buffalo portfolio. And why stop there? Buffalo Tours also opened a Sales Office in Australia and a Representative Office in Moscow, in addition
to our presence in the UK and Germany.
2010 will be a very interesting year with the possible slow recovery of global economies and international travelers to the region. With accommodation
and service prices remaining competitive and the weakening of the US dollar (in a region where USD dominates), we expect this will be an excellent
year to travel. Greater value may be achieved through booking early, as well as flexibility for travelers who wish to book at the last minute.
An additional service that has been introduced for 2010 is our newly launched Agent Website. With online tariffs, news alerts, hotel information and
photo library, this site will be a valuable resource for all our partners.
Meanwhile the increased demand in volunteer and educational travel has seen the Buffalo crew working hard to develop new product. We have
introduced dynamic and well researched projects across Indochina and Thailand, such as our exclusive ‘Seuang River Experience’ in Luang Prabang,
the building of a refuge for trafficked and abused children in Northern Thailand and a Biogas initiative in rural Northern Vietnam in conjunction with
a Non Government Organisation.
We have also created a ‘Buffalo Green’ logo to indicate accommodation and tour options that adhere to responsible travel guidelines, and over the next
year we will be grading all our tours on our Buffalo Green responsible travel benchmarks.
Inside this brochure you will discover fine examples of exciting new off the beaten track destinations, such as the less travelled route of Central
Vietnam’s Phong – Nha Ke Bang National Park with its spectacular caves and limestone karsts, to Buffalo’s unique and exclusive establishment of
adventure tour infrastructure in remote Ha Giang, far Northern Vietnam.
There are also innovative new adventure options for hiking and biking in rural Cambodia, staying overnight in monasteries, as well as action packed
kayaking experiences in the un-spoilt eco paradise of Laos. With the opening of our Thailand office our product has greatly expanded across the
country, particularly in the North and North East region, with plenty of choices for responsible and authentic travel experiences.
With all this growth Buffalo Tours still manages to maintain its ‘family feel’, the faces behind the names remain consistent year after year, and our
full attention is given to flexibility of product and pricing and a high level of personalized service to all our partners.
Happy travelling in 2010!
