• When writing a song, one needs to follow a main structure to put that song together

6. Genre Difference
• There is one main part of a certain genre’s song that places it in that genre
• Rock
• Many guitar solos, standard drum beats, simple guitar riffs
• Metal
• distortion, breakdowns, complicated guitar riffs, faster drum beats
• Country
• clean guitars, slow calm lyrics, drum style similar to rock
• Hip-Hop
• simple drum beat from drum machine, synthesizers, 808 drums, other sound effects

• fast paced but simple drum beats, little to no instruments and sound effects, fast paced lyrics

7. Metal Song Structure
• Breakdowns, vocals that involve screaming,
and fast drums and guitars are what makes
up the metal genre
